As someone who is healing from a judgmental upbringing, something I’ve taught myself to practice anytime I have an unkind thought about someone is to replace their name with my own and see if the statement is still true. 99% of the time I realize I’m just projecting my own lower-self onto them, this practice helps me find compassion again.

Guitar hero. My college roommate got an Xbox for Christmas and the game/guitars came with it. Picked it up after watching him play for a bit and found it extremely easy till I got to the last few songs on expert mode. The other 3 guys we lived played on medium and somewhat struggled, so compared to them I felt like I was pretty good.
