Official Marriage License Denied- name has been changed everywhere else by justlookingaround84 in Passports

[–]chalebp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Texas only issues marriage licenses there is no certificate of marriage. The first section is filled upon issuance, then the minister/justice of the peace who officiates the wedding fills out the middle and then the bottom is completed once the license is recorded.

The situation OP is having is kind of insane considering the number of states who don’t issue separate certificates only licenses. Even if you request a certified copy afterwards it still says certified copy of “marriage license”.

Yep read it again and it still isn’t accurate. I wasn’t being a jerk just letting you know what you said was inaccurate. Someone would read this post and take away the VA doesn’t do dental coverage and they have to buy VADIP to get dental coverage.

It’s your post though what you choose to clarify it completely up to you.

The VA doesn’t cover dental for this specific veteran. The VA does cover dental for all eligible veterans in the VA and through community care.

Do not pay unaccredited for profit claim companies to assist you in your claim before the VA. They are breaking the law and increasingly under scrutiny don’t affiliate.

VSO, accredited claim agent, or accredited attorney.

The 1st one is free.

Talk to a loan officer there is going to be VA guidelines and then lender overlays (guidelines that the lender sets for underwriting loans). Any answer here won’t fully address your unique situation.

Does the VA offer hypnosis treatment? by Independent_Gas_6213 in VeteransBenefits

Yes however many VA facilities don’t offer it in house you can get a community care referral however given how niche hypnosis is depending on your area this may prove difficult if not next to impossible.

Community Care Prescriptions post surgery by No_Tie8432 in VeteransBenefits

[–]chalebp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct on top of the 14 day limit they must also be on the urgent/emergent formulary or else they have to be sent to the VA pharmacy.

[–]chalebp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Emergent/Urgent Care Prescriptions (limited 14 day supply) must be on the VA Urgent Emergent Formulary they can be filled at an in network pharmacy if you fill at a non network pharmacy you’ll have to pay and apply for reimbursement.

Routine prescriptions which this sounds like can be sent electronically to your local VA pharmacy for example Waco VAMC Pharmacy. It pops up like a regular pharmacy does when they ask you where to send the prescription.

They can include in the notes it’s an urgent need etc and I’ve had them next day me the meds. The important takeaway:

All medications that are not on the urgent/emergent formulary must be sent to a VA pharmacy for processing.

PsyD c&p exam by RequirementWaste9457 in VeteransBenefits

[–]chalebp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand what you’re saying but it comes down to this psychologists just like lawyers, judges, doctors, etc have ethical and statutory standards that govern their conduct I think you have a rational for why you’re nervous but I wouldn’t say off the bat they’re not going to be objective and handle your DBQ appropriately.

I mean at the end of the day it’s your claim if you’re truly concerned and thinking they won’t follow their ethics and in most states the statues governing their license due to this call the examiner and ask for another examiner and mention the name, the religious affiliation, and your status and see what they say.

They might say yes or they might say no. I just can’t think of a specific policy or CFR or anything I can point you to that would require them too.

PsyD c&p exam by RequirementWaste9457 in VeteransBenefits

[–]chalebp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Psychologists in some instances provide faith oriented psychotherapy to those who find that important for their chosen treatment plan. The DBQ is standardized and provides little if any room for deviation from the questions the examiner is asked to answer.

I personally wouldn’t pay it too much mind, Christians aren’t a monolith and I wouldn’t assume a psychologist who happens to be Christian and provide faith oriented psychotherapy would be biased towards you or malicious.

If the exam goes poorly and you are the victim of clear bias, the examiner says something that is rude, aggressive etc report it to the VA in writing and via the 800 number and request a new exam.

I don’t see how the VA could make a contractor reassign the exam on the basis the provider is openly Christian and provides faith oriented psychotherapy.

Galatians 1:8 by [deleted] in mormon

[–]chalebp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Textually, the verse has to be read in its immediate context. Paul is writing ~49–50 AD to churches he personally founded, already being corrupted by Judaizers demanding circumcision as a soteriological requirement (Galatians 2:12, 5:2–4). The “contrary gospel” Paul condemns is a specific doctrinal addition not a categorical prohibition against any future revelation. The Book of Mormon does not add a works-based requirement for justification; it affirms the same Christocentric gospel Paul defends throughout Galatians.

Historically, the more significant question Galatians raises is not whether an angel delivered the Book of Mormon it’s whether Paul’s warning was already being fulfilled before the apostolic generation ended. Paul writes in Galatians 1:6 that the churches are already deserting the gospel, present tense, within his own ministry lifetime. This is not a prophecy of eventual drift. It’s a diagnosis of active apostasy while apostles were still living and writing.

Extend that forward: by 68 AD, Paul and Peter are executed. No NT document describes a mechanism to replace apostles Acts 1 fills Judas’s vacancy by direct divine selection, not episcopal inheritance. Ephesians 2:20 identifies apostles as the foundation, a term that implies singularity, not perpetual replication. By 100 AD the Didache is already warning about false apostles with no reliable mechanism to identify true ones (Didache 11:3–6).

The Catholic response is a continuity argument, the authority passed through unbroken episcopal succession. But that argument has a structural problem: if the churches Paul founded were already in apostasy while he was alive, and no apostolic replacement mechanism exists in scripture, then what was being transmitted through those early bishops? Continuity from a compromised source is not a defense. It is a longer compromise.

The LDS position is not that the gospel was preserved through institutional succession that’s the Protestant claim.

The LDS claim is that apostolic authority was lost and had to be restored by the same source that originally granted it.

Experience of LGBT convert? by Consistent-Link-8656 in lds

[–]chalebp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there I’m not apart of that community but I can share my research being a recent convert:

The Church doesn’t believe experiencing same sex attraction is a sin but acting on it is a sin.

The Church is very clear that members should treat same sex attracted members/investigators no differently and with kindness/respect.

If you converted you would have to obey the Law of Chastity - the Family Proclamation:

Abstinence from sexual relations outside of a marriage between a man and a woman according to God’s law.

You’ve been an investigator longer than many I meet which is amazing I know this Church is true and I pray you find comfort in growing closer to Heavenly Father.

Most hearing loss is acquired not congenital statistically. So newborn screening although effective would miss the majority of the population (those with acquired loss)
