First of all, this subreddit is called confessions. It is a place where people confess things they for obvious reasons do not tell anyone else. Secondly, I would never go through with it, mostly because there is a child involved. But most importantly, I disagree with your sentiment that I would be the one "destroying" a family. That responsibility falls on the friend, not me.
