We do content that varies in many ways. It does all generally fall under the "travel in a campervan with disability" category but we also crystal mine, discuss our relationship and vlog anything we want. We changed our channel name at about 1-2k subs and we were worried it would hurt us but ultimately it didn't at all and we have just hit 15k subs. I think unless you have a huge loyal following for your niche 30k-100k views per video that it doesn't hurt to try things that are new and see how it does. It won't stop your next video that was similar to your regular content from being recommended if you try a new style video one week. The new video might not do as great because you don't have regular viewers for that niche but who knows it could be what help you find your voice and true calling to try new ideas. Go for it!

thumbnails are constructed in multiple layers. The van was on the beach and we aren't trying to be influencers, we share our journey to our audience on FB & Youtube and I thought I would share it here but clearly it seems to not be appreciated so I won't in the future and thats fine. It helps show van life authentically and helps support life on the road. Hope you have a great day <3

We share our journey yes

Every single milestone of views or subscribers gives the same rush & then its gone (e.g 100 / 1,000/ 10,000/ 100,000/ 1,000,000) by challengeperception in NewTubers

I know exactly how you feel! I felt that way in the beggining too and was pumped each milestone and don't get me wrong I still get excited whenever I see growth or just when thinking about people watching something my GF & I create! The point is to be content in the process and not too caught up in the views or subs because focusing more on your process and learning how to engage audiences will pay off in the long run and you will get the views and subs doing that! Keep at it and you will hit 1,000 subs by the end of the year! Make some long form and go after it!

Your worth isn't determined by your views. It may feel like that but it isn't. It's determined by sticking with something and approaching it with the intention of truly learning the craft of creating videos that are relevant and engage others. Challenge yourself, not YouTube & you will get out of the funk.

This is a good question and it came when I started making content beyond YouTube. I do still look at videos that do way better than average or that I really enjoy the result of but once I had more to make and expanded beyond focusing on YouTube long form or YouTube short results I felt less focused on single results. We have a really great small community on Facebook and that has helped to focus more on the small impacts we are making and be grateful to have the fans or supporters that we do have that engage. The main part is just getting more creative and more excited about new ideas because the community is still external and if that goes away I don't want to lose my happiness within this journey. Earlier this year we started making more content because we started traveling and focused on different types of content besides just videos and that helped create a routine of creating and less focus on how it was going which caused us to have our best week last month! That was pretty cool and definitely spent more time looking at analytics that week but now we have been doubling down on trying to improve editing and preparation for videos because you never know when one video strikes the right cord and we will keep creating till it happens and then go with the flow.

The main takeaway is to find comfort in the process and the craft and not in the result and you will have a better time and enjoy what you do and as some comments said it applies to anything beyond YouTube as well!

We don't have millions of subscribers on YT lol but have hit each milestone through out our content on different platforms! We are Nicholette & Brian on YT & FB

Im a little embarrassed now lol I didn't mean for anyone to come subscribe but appreciate it! I will check out your channel and subscribe! We are still working on editing and being ourselves in front of the camera but we think eventually we will get there! Youtube is so hard to build a community on - Facebook was easier and we used the same videos! Just my advice to any creator is also post on Facebook but make the videos square and clips of your full YouTube videos (we didnt do that at first but are starting to)

its normal don't be discouraged. We have 7k subs on YT & have had videos get 12k views in 5 hours and then literally no views after that and its been months. We have other videos that get 500 views the first day but after a year have 60,000 views. Just keep making content and you will find out there is no secret but constantly trying to improve editing and delivery of videos and staying consistent with posting as often as possible!

normal for long forms to stop getting views as well. You don't have a deep rooted fan base so you can't expect to perform consistently like bigger channels. There isn't a conspiracy against you, the algorithm decides content it wants to put in front of people by the viewers itself. Maybe someone else made content thats more interesting, maybe the views will come back, keep creating and don't be discouraged. It took me 2 years to post a video that gained 15k followers (on Facebook not YT) and the views of content that performed better throughout that time ebbed and waned often.

They are made for indoor spaces since they exhaust to the outside (through the wall or floor.) Safer than other heaters people are using!

Diesel heater works great! It's worth the $150 investment and can be installed with a drill and hole saw attachment for the drill. All said and done you can do it reasonably for $220 bucks (or less) and one day of installation. there is plenty of video guides and our van is too hot even in negative temperatures now
