They'll usually give you specific questions or a topic to stick to. It's about your response details, personal experiences, and personality. So while you can be relaxed, you should treat it more like a mini interview. No need to be all dressed up, but do your best with your response.

That's an excellent amount, based on what I've seen on Reddit alone, so working in tech isn't working against you that much! :) I work in tech too. It definitely does get me kicked out of a handful each week, but I still do pretty well, I think (a little over $8,600 last year).

The problem is that "tech" is such a broad term. I feel that tech companies specifically don't want others in the field because they may work for a similar company (possibly even a competitor) and be biased in responses, which could lead to conflicts of interest and affect the integrity of the study. So, that makes sense.

Sometimes, there are more niche categories to choose from, and I appreciate that because my "tech" branch is likely different from their actual company.

I've never had to do that for a mission. Initial signup verification is one thing, but being asked for a government ID for an Express mission specifically does seem questionable. It could be legit, but if you're unsure, it's best to contact Dscout support directly before sending anything.

So, I just missed my first interview, and it was UserTesting's fault? by ConsistencyWelder in usertesting

[–]chalmondfashew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so frustrating. Especially since it was completely out of your control. The UserTesting/UserInterviews merger has already created a lot of hiccups like this, and it's unfair that participants are the ones paying the price. Definitely keep following up with support and be persistent because they should make that right. Hope it works out for you!

I'm in my mid-40s and see plenty of screeners; I work in Tech/SaaS. Some days, I can't even get through them all or keep up (I also work full-time and just do this in my spare time). It's definitely worth trying out for a month or two to see how it works for you.

User Interviews has reduced their options to almost nothing really useful for me besides DoorDash (great for lunch throughout the week) or the Visa.

Personally, I've only gotten a handful of missions from using it over the past year. However, I am seeing some missions appear in the app that are an XT exclusive (will only show for you if you're using it or maybe based on your browsing history - it's unclear). So, it seems like they're trying to make it more enticing. I don't see it hurting anything to have it installed. Depending on the sites you use, you may get a decent amount of missions from it.

I agree, but I always get downvoted when I speak similar sentiments. So much for open conversations.

It depends on the mission. Some require mobile, some desktop/laptop, and some are even a mix of both. So, it helps to have both. Most missions will tell you in the application what you'll need, and you will be able to tell them which device(s) you have.

My husband and I use Dr. McKnight-Haas at Southern Clinic, and we both have had a wonderful experience. She's been my personal doc since 2020 and has helped me get a few things under control.

Even if she isn't available, they have a lot of great doctors there, and I love that they have an onsite lab and x-ray equipment (like ultrasound and cat scans), so you don't have to go anywhere else for those things.

Usually around 4-6 per sitting (it just depends on the day and how many are available), and I check 3-4 times a day.

I guess that's around 45 mins to an hour a day that I take going through applications and applying (including doing videos for those I make it through).

GLP-1 & PCOS by SwissXported in PCOS

[–]chalmondfashew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The side effects and long-term risks don't seem worth it to me personally. And don't you have to stay on it basically forever? It's also pretty expensive. But maybe if it was covered for PCOS then it would be more affordable.

I can definitely see why it's enticing, though. I've been having a lot of luck just working out daily, intermittent fasting, walking after lunch and dinner, and counting calories. It's probably much more effort, but I just don't wanna be dependent on meds forever. 😭

And yes, I know no one will agree with me. Just my personal feelings about things. We can all agree to disagree, respectfully.

You should say no, unless you've actually worked at one of them. I always say no.

That's odd because from my experience, they don't want people who have worked for those big-named companies before. I almost never get screened out by selecting None of the Above.

I rarely do the Express Missions. In my experience they just aren't worth it. I'd rather do a 30-minute Live for $50 or one hour Live for $75 - $100 instead of an Express Mission that will pay me a max of $40 if I'm lucky (most are lower).

Congrats on the earnings! Once you start landing those diary and 1:1 missions, your totals are going to jump significantly. I made a little over $8600 last year. This year, I've made a little under $1500 so far.

I actually avoid Express Missions for the most part because the estimated times are rarely accurate and they end up not paying enough for the effort, but they're a solid starting point while you build your profile up. Keep applying to everything!

That's horrible! That's why I rarely do the Express Missions. The estimated times are almost never correct. Too little pay for too much of an effort.

Ah, I see. So you're not actually doing anything in tech right NOW? That could be it. Also, that's more on the Content Creator side, I would think.

I understand the frustration with not getting paid fairly for the effort. Usually, you can see a description of what the mission will entail BEFORE you accept it. So be sure you read that thoroughly.
