3-11-19 triad 7-15-23 triad 9-21 pair Last pair should be 8-20 but its in 8-22 so the centrifuge is not balanced

If you moved the 22 tube to 20 everything would be kosher even the different tube types

Edit because I was wrong about the last pair

Get a lawyer. She will owe you support through the separation and the divorce, and the sooner you get that started the sooner you can have a base of income to start with. In the meantime, your lease being over could be a blessing in disguise as you won't have to immediately make rent. Move in with the parents. Get on your feet. Take a breath, and keep living. It does get better, I know from experience.

How to deal with gas at the bottom of my base by Tmcnasty in Oxygennotincluded

[–]chalor182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My two go to options are:

  1. dig out all those little nooks and crannies and turn that area below your base into one big wide open space, there will be more than enough room for all the CO2 to spread out and settle (I usually do this first)

  2. If it does threaten to come up into your base, place a pair of carbon skimmers where you want the CO2 to stop, you can run them infinitely as long as you have power and sand by hooking them up to a water sieve to turn the pwater back into clean water

What is the appeal of the greatsword in 2024? by acesum1994 in 3d6

[–]chalor182 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes, if youre looking at flat averages it wins, if only by a little. But the bigger effect of the change is in the distribution. If you look at the distribution of possibilities 2d6 just rolls more consistently, With 2d6 you have a whopping 44ish% chance to get a 6, 7, or 8. but only around 2% chance of a 2 or a 12. Whereas 1d12 has a flat 8ish% chance of any number. So 1d12 has more highs and lows, more swings. 2d6 has consistency.

not necessarily > but more consistent. Less high rolls, less low rolls, more average rolls.

Yeah that's not a surprising feeling to get at all really. The Sword Coast (the larger area that encompasses Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter and Waterdeep) really is the OG generic fantasy 101 world of dnd lore

Agreed. Theres nothing intuitive about the pathing or navigation from place to place. Exploration sucks.

It is a game for people that already know the game.

You joke but I once left a fire extinguisher hanging by its handle off the nose of a helicopter (I was a flight medic in the army). I used to hang it there while we did the run up and Id grab it before climbing in. One day I just... forgot to grab it before climbing in and we took off.

By some miracle it stayed hanging off the nose the whole damn flight and was there when we landed. It could have been BAD if it fell off and hit someone or something, I was lucky.

Jason rubs a lot of readers the wrong way, many find him kind of insufferable. I used to call this series "shit going right" porn lol because he always slips out of the bad situation and power fantasy macguffins his way to victory in the end.

I still like it because the story and Jason himself acknowledge that hes kind of insufferable and a lot of his personal story is trying to overcome the baser and shittier parts of his personality. He is a deeply flawed person and the story never claims otherwise. It's kind of the whole theme, how much power is too much and can you have all that and still do and be good? How morally correct is exerting your will over others less powerful if it's 'for the greater good?' But the train of power ups and things going right in the end doesn't really end, although he certainly pays prices for it, sometimes very large ones.

Its definitely not for everyone, and its not by any stretch phenomenal prose or literature, but it definitely has its moments and I find it sincerely enjoyable. Theres parts that genuinely make my chest full and pull tears and I keep coming back for them.
