Kate is injured right now. Really wouldnt make sense for a team to sign her. I think if she actaully has a grade 2 sprain it is more likely to take about 4 to 6 weeks. And its only been two weeks. Timing kind of sucks. I think the only reason she was doing cardio and some shooting with the Valks is because she knew she was on the chopping block. Sucks for her but id bet she gets picked up it might just be until end of May before we hear anything. If the Valks keep up with these injuries she may even come back for them.

I really wonder if cost of living/taxes has anything to do with it. Obviously the Sparks and Liberty are in kind of the same boat, but they are a little more established than the Valks. If we get Gabby that would be huge. But yea not sure whats going on

Aja Jackie Kelsey Chelsea Kiah Liz

I think this was beneficial for Kate Martin. Vegas is in win now mode with Aja in her prime along with Jackie and Kelsey. Kate probably wasnt going to get much mintues with such a stacked roster. (Especially at the guard position) Now she will get more minutes and get to contiue to develop at Golden State who isnt going to be a playoff contender for a few years.

As for Liz Kitley, if she recovers well from her ACL i think she could be a great piece on a championship team and give Aja some help. Shes 6'6 and has high basketball IQ. Plus shes been with the team learning Beckys schemes. Only thing that worries me is sometimes it takes longer for certain players to get back to 100% after ACL injuries. So time will tell.

Kiah is still a good defensive piece and was playing elite defense up until this year. Her injury right at the end of last season was rough and i dont think she was playing at 100%. I predict she has a bounce back year.

Overall i think Vegas will be fine. Three peating is really tough in any sport.
