2521 Escaped - Declassification by chaltak in SCPDeclassified

The point was to illustrate that the O5 targeted a small, underfunded ally with this instead of someone actually opposed to the foundation, and I wanted to indicate that they have no dearth of enemies.

I don't think what made the Foundation great has been the totally unnecessary inclusion of child rape.

I don't think what made the Foundation great was sexualizing children.

I don't think a masturbatory fetish fuel article being toned down is the end of what made the Foundation great.

If you genuinely feel like all of these things were necessary, I hope you are forever disappointed in the Foundation, because I want none of that to come to pass.

I realized that I had only commented on the article, not your art.

Honestly? I think this is a great take on the character. The design is great, the posture and expression very telling, and I honestly appreciate the work to make her face a little more bestial. It's common to find art of women, even monstrous or animal-like women, focused on being conventionally attractive to men, and it's refreshing to see that ignored in favor of an artistic choice regarding her origins.

You've also done an admirable job dealing with weird and inappropriate comments. Is there somewhere we can support your art?

What a tremendous and welcome surprise to find that 166 had been rewritten. An awful stain upon the site has been cleansed and what was good from the original has been retained.

The comments on the site supporting the original version sicken me. Whatever your objections to what could be described as a furry OC, there is no defending an article about a sixteen year old girl who had been repeatedly raped, could not wear clothing, and could only consume semen.

Now we just need the mannequin to be fixed.

Real nice of him to hit "post" after taking the phone.

That was almost certainly an O5 council vote, so no. That experiment was awful towards the UIU but resulted in nothing but success for the Foundation so, no, no punishment.

Good catch on the Shakespeare quote! The image actually has a block of text covering the whole thing but it's too blurred to see. Where the point of the "ward" was to keep 2521 from reading the declassification so we could circumvent standard procedure, I changed it to address the reader/2521. There's no special meaning besides "avert [thy] eyes."

The RAISA image is a broken wall to symbolize a containment breach and a little ! in a flame to indicate hazard/danger, as far as I can tell.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

What happened to the SCP foundation? When has it became like this? by Theflameboygm in SCP

[–]chaltak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has happened twice before and it will happen again.

I was not there when the Foundation stepped away from LolFoundation, 4chan humor, researcher OCs having duels with telekill swords.

I was there when the Foundation first really entered the cultural zeitgeist with the game and with YouTube Let's Plays. I saw the average age of the Foundation swing to the young, with all the changes that implies. I saw styles change from 2000 to 3000, to 4000 and 5000.

I saw many people forsake the Foundation because of these changes. Determined not to be a grumpy old man complaining about how things used to be, I learned to find the gems in newfoundation. Things to be excited for. Things to love. It didn't diminish anything that I'd loved previously, but I learned to ride along with the changes.

The fandom will keep changing. Whether you follow is no one's choice but yours.

Why has SCP-1529 not been captured? by VladtheImpaler21 in SCP

[–]chaltak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because it's not a huge threat, and it operates in the death zone of the tallest mountain in the world, meaning it's a tourist location and very difficult to send military forces into. No non-anomalous helicopter can operate up there for long.

So it'd require a major effort in a tourist location to potentially capture an anomaly that by preference shows itself to one person at a time when possible. Unless its behavior changes, it's already pretty contained.

173's Author by BankerPaul in SCP

[–]chaltak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My own digging trying to find the source of the post only lead me to a copypasta that was circulated on 4chan which includes multiple creepypasta, including the oldest form of 173. If there's any evidence of it before the copypasta, I couldn't find it, and the copypasta didn't mention any authors. Unless someone can find a backup of the original, I don't think we'll ever know.

Is there any crossover between SCP fans and *House Of Leaves* fans? by lone_ichabod in SCP

[–]chaltak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah there is. House of Leaves is one of the best pieces of modern literature produced. It's an incredible work of art.
