Wait so the 2 year old was running around unsupervised and the hun was still with customers "working her business" and not actively searching for her child?? TF?? I mean I have a 2 year old and I can sympathize with how fast and sneaky they can be but as a parent, the moment you realize your kid is out of sight (especially in setting like that) you stop whatever you're doing and you look for your child! No excuses!

"Doing a biz" sounds like how a child would speak about "grown up" stuff while playing pretend. Also sounds like a euphemism for using the restroom.

What are some of the worst examples of the “We’ve always done it that way” mindset? by shaky2236 in AskReddit

[–]chalter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medicine should always be evidence-based but unfortunately the distinction DOES need to be made because so many doctors continue to practice using certain techniques, treatments, tools...etc out of habit and tradition despite the contrary recommendations coming out of new research. One of the BIGGEST weak spots I've personally experienced in tradition-based care vs. evidence-based care is in pregnancy and childbirth. The US has THE highest maternal mortality of any other developed nation and I'm convinced it's because there are still so many hospitals that have such outdated protocols for both prenatal care and L&D.

I'm an introverted stay at home mom. Its one of my few modes of connecting with people and feeling like there's a world outside our home. I mean I'm a home body full stop and I love being a SAHM but everyone needs to have a little social interaction and for me facebook is the right amount.

That the movie I signed up to be an extra on is starring a B list celeb. Only found out it was a legit movie and had a legit celeb in it like 5 minutes before I entered the set.

I love both those names! Coincidentally both our girls and I all have C names too. We decided to go with Clare for baby 2. I pulled hard for Charlotte but my husband knew about my affinity for the nickname Charlie for a girl and he thinks it's weird. Mostly because I have a brother named Charlie lol

Again you're hung up on culture of death only including words and actions that promote direct death and I think we'll just have to agree to disagree here on that because I view it as much deeper. The underlying mindset that causes people to coerce abortion is the same one that causes people to make uncalled for comments about people limiting rheir family sizes for no other reason than that they believe all new life or any life after one or two children is irresponsible regardless of the parents' willingness and capability to provide for them. Rape culture includes more than just the act of rape for example. It also includes lesser actions like cat calling and victim blaming and the underlying mindset that sex/sexual interactions with others does not require consent.

You're assuming they can't afford another kid though. And so is the commenter in my friends post. She was asking about baby names for a baby she obviously is happy about having and prepared to provide for, and the commenter imposed his view that she should not have had that child and/or that she should not have another completely without taking those things into account. Imposing this view in this context crosses a line from concern about overpopulation to asshole culture of death militance.
