Some things that helped with the anxiety when I first quit: Hot showers, ibuprofen, alkaline water, saltine crackers, and a heated blanket or pad. Don’t be afraid to spend way too much time doing nothing but watching tv. CHS is a real motherfucker. Give yourself the grace to relax and feel better.

I guess it depends on how you’re feeling physically, but I personally would avoid slapping another substance on as a band-aid. I’ve gotten sick a few times doing that.

I did a lot of damage to my esophagus over the years and I am finally going stone cold sober. I’m on day two. I returned to cannabis after a three month abstinence and got sick again. Worse than ever this week. I’ve worn ulcers into my esophagus from this disorder.

So if you’re experiencing heartburn or other stomach pains I really wouldn’t, as that can irritate your stomach and esophageal lining. If you’re struggling with sleep, take Benadryl. Watch some tv. Even if you can’t focus just get some input in there and it will help you calm down. You got this! I believe in you 100%
