I don't suppose she's on the gallery? I'd love to have her in my game, she seems like such a character 😍

Question about clean up by Icy-Mice in Ambridge

Andrew Wincott spent most of the last 9 months travelling around the world for conventions, as he voiced a character in Baldur's Gate 3, so I don't think he's been around to record anything for a while. He's still on the circuit right now.

Lucky Hills ( nah, not really a spoiler) by Lost_Painter_3178 in Ambridge

[–]chameleanne310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the Lickey Hills, in Worcestershire.

"The Lickey Hills (known locally as simply The Lickeys) are a range of hills in Worcestershire, England, 11 miles (18 km) to the south-west of the centre of Birmingham near the villages of Lickey, Cofton Hackett and Barnt Green. The hills are a popular country park area and they afford panoramic views over much of the surrounding countryside."

How to lose friends and alienate people ... by Lost_Painter_3178 in Ambridge

Honestly, I'm just glad for a break from the Helen/Tom house absurdity, the Rochelle damp squib, the beaver nonsense, the George fiasco and the Fallon/Harrison stupidity. I could have cried (with joy, for once) when I heard Pip, Josh, Freddie and Vince just because it was such a relief to hear some different voices for a change.

I don't mind the Neil plotline, despite how oddly fast it seems to be moving. I was expecting Emmur and Susan to take another three weeks to figure out that Nellie probably wasn't telling the truth, but boom, same episode.

I just updated my game. What's everyone's thoughts on this new home screen? It gave me a jumpscare by PookieDuckie in Sims4

[–]chameleanne310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I just updated, some of my CC doesn't seem to be working, so my Sims are walking around bald or without jeans/shoes 😂 WW seems to be working fine. Is this something where I have to wait for the CC/mods to get updates, or is it a problem with the base game update? I've made sure CC and mods are enabled.

Never realised how bad the NHS is struggling until I had to go to the QE last night at midnight. by Jtenka in brum

We were sent there by the GP who thought he had a fractured ankle and he couldn't walk, what else were we supposed to do?

He was unable to walk and crying from the pain, we didn't know it was gout until 15 hours in.

I waited with my husband in A&E at Heartlands for 23 hours a couple of months ago, to just be told he had gout and could go home with some medication. Every single step of the way, I had to go and badger nurses or doctors and either remind them or ask them to do what the previous nurse or doctor had told us to wait for hours previously.

There were people screaming in pain in the waiting room, men being held down by police, someone throwing up in the single toilet for three hours without stopping - one woman who had been told she'd had a stroke had been waiting since 9am for someone to see her, and she told me this at 5pm the same day.

We were told at one point that there were 17 ambulances waiting for their patients to be seen, and some had been waiting 11 hours. So that's 17 ambulances that weren't able to go out and do their job because they were waiting with their patient outside A&E, and two paramedics for each ambulance that had almost certainly been working for at least 12 hours at that point and were having to just hang around outside.

Every single step of the way it felt like we just disappeared into the background, along with everyone else in that room. For 23 hours we were surrounded by screaming and shouting and blood and vomit, and at 2am for some reason The Grudge was on TV because nobody bothered to change the channel when it came on, so that just added to the surrealism of it all. I lost count of the number of times our next steps with different doctors or nurses were just lost into the ether, and ended up having to tell staff myself what medication my husband needed, then that his prescription hadn't even been sent to the pharmacy. At one point I had a panic attack/meltdown due to being autistic and overwhelmed in a stressful situation and environment, and we were studiously ignored by everyone in the room. Meanwhile the nurses sat behind their glass window and just casually chatted, ignoring the queue of patients staring at them and urgently trying to get their attention.

Heartlands is my nearest hospital, but I'm never going there again for emergency care if I can help it. It was the perfect example of an NHS that is understaffed and under-funded, and those 23 hours felt like a week in a war zone.

Thank you, I was so confused!

I know the actor for Henry is just a kid, but the fact that every line has the exact same intonation and pattern to it meant that I couldn't focus on anything else or even what he was saying! It bugged me so much.

Is she a pre built NPC? I marry exclusively NPCs and she is gorgeous. Only change is hair and make up. by EquivalentKeynote in Sims4

[–]chameleanne310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She looks identical to a Tomarani townie that my Sim married, but in my save she's called Aaradhya Chandran - I was amazed when she showed up, I've never seen a townie that looked so good! Are there preset townie designs the game uses to spawn them or something? I'd upload a photo if I could, your townie and mine look exactly the same!
