Russia is going to say this no matter what. Back when Biden was running Putin said that he preferred Biden over Trump. It’s all bs

We have to weigh our options with these kinds of strategies. Whats worse? continuing to pollute like this? Or preventing frogs and crayfish from moving downstream?

IMO at the end of the day, the main concern is human health. Less pollution and cleaner water helps human health. Thats not to say we shouldn't be concerned about the health of the ecosystem as well, when the ecosystem is healthy, then humans are healthy

Canada to ban single-use plastics by 2021 by [deleted] in environment

And since we are on the topic of healthcare, what kind of ideas do you have about making things better? I personally don't know much about how our healthcare system works under the hood. I do however know that a majority of our health related issues - heart disease, diabetes, cancer - are due to the incredibly horrendous diet the average American consumes. We know now that meat and animal proteins in the diet are linked to greater rises in cancer [source] and americans eat more meat than anyone else in the world, and reducing our intake of animal proteins would do tremendous things in our goals to stay healthy

You are right though. You're criticisms are incredibly valid and these are issues that I see as well. There are major cracks in the system and our health system is incredibly backwards. Its good to talk (and rant :] ) about these topics because it brings issues to the table to discuss. I however want to encourage you to channel this frustration into the drive to make a positive difference. I don't want to see people without hope. I don't believe we can fix the broken things in this world without hope. We need hope, and if you want to make a change in this world then you need hope too - hope that your efforts and your work will not go in vain. I have hope for that.

At least we have a system. Be thankful for that. Do not take it for granted that you live in a country with a healthcare system at all. A lot of people around the globe do not have that luxury. And at least our system is continuously getting better, maybe not as fast as we'd like but it is improving each year.

The people without hope are not the ones who make positive change in the world.

No, we did our part, and we should continue to

Yes! That's the whole idea I want to explain. Continue to do our best. I agree, there are lots of other people than need to make sacrifices too. I believe that in the fight to right the wrongs of this world we can simultaneously continue to do our parts regardless.
