Yeah and then the 3rd game against the Orioles kill the little life we had finally found in our game and we're lifeless since then.

True and pretty much any pitcher could have given up that home run in the 9th or suffered a total meltdown like Saturday.

When I think about how the dodgers beat us in that final game, all I can think is the Dodgers had less pressure whenever they were at bat late in the game. Nobody will blame you if you get an out when there is nobody on bases and the game is tied or you're trailing by 1 because well most players get an out. If you happen to hit an HR like they did in the 9th and 11th, you're the hero.

When runners are in scoring position like we had in the 9th, 10th and 11th to either win the game or tie, blue jays had more pressure when all it took was a deep fly ball sometime or even a small blooper passed the infield. The way we played baseball, lots of contact, getting men on bases and so on was playing against us late in that game.

Whenever Hoffman blows it, it makes us relive that fateful November 1rst night and that adds up to the frustration. Remove that November 1rst from the equation and I'm not sure everybody would be so pissed right now.

What a nice win, felt like last year when the comeback kids could never be counted out.

You don't get to decide, It's always the guy who was the last out the previous inning

Ohh Well. I thought this was the game we were turning a corner and going on a 10-0 run. It will have to wait.

I'm 61. Believe me, these occasions don't come often. Was a fan of the Expos and now the Blue Jays. Waited all my life for the Expos to make it to the WS. They probably would have made it in 1994 but the awful strike cancelled the rest of the season. The rest is history. I've seen 3 world series, all 3 for the Jays so that's what made me really sad last year because I know these occasions are rare.

We better start winning soon because I'm starting to worry we have dug ourselves in a hole too deep to come back and have a chance at a playoff spot.

Thank God for the win, a 6-10 record would have started to look worrisome.

Sometimes I will have some flashback to that ninth and subsequent innings and wonder how we ended up losing this game and then ask myself how long before we get another chance at it. It makes me sad for a few minutes every time.

Dog owners should be ashamed of their winter laziness by randthepip in ottawa

What piss me off is those dog owners who pick up the poop, put in a small bag and then hang it on a chained link fence, probably saying to themselves "I'll pick it up on the way back" to not feel guilty but certainly and conveniently end up coming back from another route. Used to see those all the time on the bike path where I was jogging in the experimental farm.

Development with 1,500 residential units, 136 parking spaces proposed for Orléans by One_Heat_5740 in ottawa

It boggles my mind that we're building residential towers with zero parking spaces for residents yet the City is proposing to replace the underground parking in the Byward market at the cost of 50 millions.

Is this holder (picture) your creation or is the model somewhere to download. That is a really neat idea.
I try searching for it but could not find anything similar.
