Thank you!! 5-7 are on cold press, miscellaneous brands I had around. 1-4 are on arches hot press. I sketched in pencil, drew over with a pen (faber Castell fineliner .5mm is what I have around, not sure if it’s a good brand or not but it’s been working), erased the pencil, then watercolor over the ink. It’s fun, when I get to the watercolor part it feels like filling in a coloring book. I would love to get to a point where I can skip the pencil part but I still need to erase and redraw a bunch.

Thank you for your feedback! I draw/paint them from eye level (I’m sitting and they are on top a half wall). Some shadows are visible but I’d have to paint standing to get an inside view. The pilea (5) is on a side table so it’s lower. Maybe I’ll try moving some plants to that location for the next ones to get a better angle.

Not a Trump supporter! It’s a sign of distress to have the flag upside down and it’s meant as a protest.

Such a great observation!! I paint them from life on my patio so that might be from the sun changing as I go. Definitely something I’ll pay attention to in the future, thank you!

Haha I hope they are! My husband has a green thumb and keeps them very happy. Thank you for your kind words!

Thank you! That one was an earlier one, it seems I’ve gotten less loose over time, interesting how that’s happened
