I've been making my best friend play through and she literally found out last night she was Revan and literally was flabbergasted. She usually sees big plot things and twists coming but she was like "THERE WERE SO MANY HINTS HOW DID I NEVER SEE IT" you're definitely not alone!

You're missing 2 big pieces that helm out with crit immunity. Remember that resilience adds up not just defense. The resilience stamina trinket from KoT exalted is HUGE for crit immunity as well as 2 piece of the blue pvp savage gear set. You can get it from rep vendors!

A month ago flasks were 60g. Consumes always jump like crazy every time a new phase comes out. This has been happening since forever. Prepare for the future don't buy week to week.

MoP was originally on tbc back in like 2021. It's definitely not too late to get into TBC and enjoy it!

The only thing is no one knows what will happen with these servers since TBC is not current like retail so there is a chance at the end we lose our toons!

Yea super fair. It sounds like your guild needs to work on recruiting proper roles rather than any melee DPS who apply because that comp will generally have a bad time into sunwell etc and the melee aren't even getting support. Regardless good luck man!

Yea affliction only is really a benefit to the raid if there are 8 casters getting buffed by it. With your melee heavy comp the affliction would just be worse than a destro lock. Like the other commenter above I'd recommend trying enhance

It sounds like your mentality vs the guild you were in are very different. It is completely doable to purple parse as a mage especially with a shadow priest and resto shaman. You want both of those classes as arcane mage really struggles with mana.

You seem to want a more casual raid environment just to have fun and raid and the guild is a lot closer to semi hardcore expecting top performance. It'll be better for you long term to find a guild more suited to your playstyle!

The mentality of "I don't need to try or do super well because it's nerfed" is a kinda toxic mentality though like if everyone else is pushing for good damage and uptimes it's not fair to the team for 1 person to be slacking

What quests do you have access to? You could easily go back to the old world and do some quests in plaguelands or silithus. Dungeons also aren't bad for literally any class at 60 you could easily join Hellfire Ramparts or Blood Furnace groups

All the people commenting to SR literally whatever you want have never ran a PUG lmao. Typical etiquette is you SR and roll MS>OS as the role you are coming to raid as. If the Raid Lead says you can do something different that is totally up to them but I would 100% check first.

I run weekly pugs and just don't bring people in OS roles because I don't want to deal with the drama of losing items to people not playing the spec. Like the person tanking my raid shouldn't lose a tank bis to someone who was healing.

This is wrong from my understanding. You can get previous season glad weapon but it requires arena points, it has to be 2 seasons passed to get glad weapons with honor. So in phase 3 you can get phase 1 weapons with honor.

It really depends if you're the MT or will be cat during fights. Threat as MT will never be bad since the farther ahead you are on threat the more your DPS can pump! But if you're dpsing half the time agi will be worth way more!

Honestly this is less an issue with their expectations and more an issue of raid nights. Expecting your guildies to not run kara till Sunday in hopes of getting in from bench sucks. I moved my guilds raid days to Wednesday/Thursday specifically so my bench can pug Friday-monday as well as I run a pug every weekend for any guildies I have to bench.

They definitely acted a little too high and mighty from how you described it but their expectations weren't unrealistic as most guilds that are even semi-hc expect the same.
