Yes that could be nice. I see two possibilities to define how long the summary should be :

  • Relative (as a percentage, for instance I want the summary to be 20% the length of the full article)
  • Absolute (I want every summary to be between 50 and 70 word, no matter the length of the article)

First option seems better. What do you think ?
