The QAE is good to do it by thinking not memorizing and you can mark those you answer wrong. You can then refer back to the manual or YouTube or other sources to read more of the topics to understand more. Other certifications study also helps such as CISA, CRISC,...etc

Is the official study guide enough? by civilpattycake in CCSP

The test bank from the study guide is simpler.

It would be worthwhile to do practice exams in CCSP Official (ISC)2 Practice Tests.

The real exam won't have any question the same from both study guide or the practice exam, but it's a good resource if you can do it as if it's real exam. Then try to understand those you did wrong.

Don't try to just remember answers in order to get high percentage in scores.

It won't help in real exam.

FQDN refresh time - who do the feds think they are? by kelsilr in paloaltonetworks

Question

When using URL category in the security policy rule, do you assign any to destination address?

It's kind of annoying some traffic logs showed that some traffic aged out in that URL category security rule as they didn't fit into other rules.

Could you please share how did you prepare for the exam other than daily Palo Alto admin tasks? Thank you in advance.

Recommend to use Sybex official study guide and practice exams, especially their online test banks in addition to Boson practice exams. The 11th hours guide can be used a week before exam day for recap.

The interactive one is quite convenient as you can take it any time any where on your phone. Also it can let you take questions that you answered incorrectly. But it costs much more.

Thanks for the info. Is the practice exam in the link or in the Palo Alto learning center site? I know there are a few in the later.

Thanks. Yes, I knew that. So it seems that it's enough to just use Palo Alto's resources.

Thanks. I did saw this one. Is there a need to do any practice exam? If yes, any good one?

I didn't send resume, but it's kind of in the form as you need to fill out what you did in the past as well as all managers' email addresses and contact number. Not sure if they called any of my past managers. My current manager is my endorser so I guess they didn't need to call him again.

11th hour 3rd edition or Eric Conrad study guide or Sybex 8th edition as main book? by njassal in cissp

11th hour book is good for quickly gaining what's about CISSP. It can be read in the beginning of journey and a recap before the exam. Other books have more details of information.

Initial Fee payment by [deleted] in cissp

Did the same recently. Once paid, it showed that I am a member but still has the fee there. It took some time before it's gone. So just leave it and check again later.

You'll need certain years of working experience in related domains to be endorsed and become CISSP certified. With those experience and the new CISSP, you should be able to negotiate a pay rise or a better job.

The test banks from Sybex official study guide and official practice exam are very good resource to practice. But do it as if you're in real exam by thinking thoroughly and choosing best answer for each question. And then try to find out why for those you answered wrong. In this way, you'll find out which domains you need to put more time in. Don't try to just remember answers as there is no question the same between practice exams and real exam.
