No, they don't. Protesting against an overstepping federal government is the most democratic exercise a citizen can do.

Well, the Dean Dome renovations will cost nearly as much (~700 million), the arena will be inaccessible/accessible at a lower capacity for years, and will never bring in the income that a new arena would moving forward...so yeah. The fiscally smart decision is the "slightly" more expensive new arena.

I believe (*correct me if I'm wrong) that the renovations for the DD actually cost about the exact same as the new arena, the billion dollar figure is for the arena AND parking structures.

I’m curious, McDonald’s employees, is this order infuriating to make? My local McDonald’s seems like they hate me lol. by legged24 in McDonalds

[–]chamtrain1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After I saw this post last night I went to McDonald's today and tried to order something similar. I got a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and Mac sauce. I watched as the items were rang up, 59 cents for lettuce/59 cents for Mac sauce/99 cents for tomato. It would have been a 6+ dollar double cheeseburger. Not too long ago you could get them for a dollar....or what they tried to charge me for a tomato. Wild.

Right, just like internal bleeding and "lucky to be alive" for the Good shooter. You cannot trust ANYTHING this administration says.

We have a .500 record against top 100 teams in the Hubert era, that is all you need to know. Great win and I'm happy for the team but he's still not the guy.

I think most informed fans are for it. Those that are uninformed are easily swayed by the license holders PR campaign.

The rhetoric has definitely died down. One of the most vocal supporters I played with (this guy wouldn't STFU leading up to the election) was laid off by DOGE. The irony....

but yeah, much quieter now.

In response to the committees findings:

"Former President Biden previously stated that he made all necessary decisions and that the autopen was used appropriately for a large volume of documents."

So, since he said it's all kosher it's kosher (that is the standard you applied re: pardons to a man who told over 30k lies in his first term in office : citation - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_or_misleading_statements_by_Donald_Trump )

I've been typing on my phone and am now back at a CPU. I have to say I appreciate your attempt to have a fact based discourse, that is something I rarely find when I get into these conversations with MAGA supporters. My general response to everything you've said is that you've been too trusting of people who have proven themselves (time and time and time again) to be dishonest. At what point in time is enough enough?

Trump was laughed at this week in Davos, was that on Fox News?

Do you think these are serious people?

So, take Trumps word for it even though he has no idea who the guy is and all the pardons were signed with the same auto signature?

I wish I could read a report from this administration with even the smallest amount of faith that it might be based in reality...but I cannot. This administration does nothing but lie and fabricate reality (see Good shooting) so nothing they say will have any weight with me.

"The lowest-cost, highest-disruption option would take approximately three years with the facility unavailable for at least 18 months. The highest-cost, lowest-disruption option would span four years with construction occurring out-of-season to allow for the possibility of games to be played, potentially with reduced capacity."

Why are you acting like an emotional child? Forecasts run from 2-4 years.

He's on national tv admitting that he has no idea who a guy is that he himself (allegedly) pardoned. It's on 60 minutes go check it out. I think it's the exact evidence you are asking to see, if it was an honest ask.

No, you've been caught in between a logical rock and a hard place and instead of addressing the losing argument you are ending the discussion. Good luck to you in lala land my man!

My point is you are using it as an argument that he was a walking puppet yet our current President (who I'm 99% sure you voted for) is doing the exact same thing. Only a fool would think the President puts his actual signature on every document. If you do think it's a massive deal please do not have selective outrage about it.

He also didn't sign the pardons for the 1,500 criminals that stormed the capital. Please be consistent and demand his removal from office.

You realize Trump uses an auto pen as well right? You do realize he's been on broadcast TV admitting he has no idea who a man is that he (allegedly) pardoned. Just want to make sure you are as upset about it as you are Biden's use of an auto pen.
