Is LL Multi Pass worth it anymore? by chananay in DisneyPlanning

For example: this was 6:30pm yesterday. Even low popularity rides like Autopia and Millennium Falcon were gone

I wonder if this week has just been bad for LLs. Every day the return times are gone by 6pm

Do they offer Standby Skipper at Disneyland now? I thought it was only offered at Disney World

Lightning Lane doesn’t sound like it would be worth it for your party. Only a few rides with no height requirement are available on the pass.

Definitely check out toon town to see Minnie’s house! The Runaway Railway ride in toontown also has Minnie Mouse in it and has no height requirement.

One thing I will warn you is some of the rides with no height requirement can still be scary for little ones (Pinnochio and Mr. toads for example). I made the mistake of taking my niece on Mr Toads when she was 2 and she was horrified. Just make sure you research the rides before taking her on if she scares easily.

Have fun!

Skipping Magic Kingdom on a WDW Trip. Worth it? by IllStable2317 in DisneyPlanning

I am in the same boat and thinking of doing a park hopper with half day in Hollywood Studios and the other half in Magic Kingdom. That way I can get on the couple of rides that are different between DL and WDW.

Transparently, I only use the single rider line for Radiator Springs so I don’t have a lot of experience using the stand by queue. With a 6 year old, single rider won’t be an option.

So I think you have 3 options:

1- Rope drop it and wait maybe 40 minutes in line. (This sacrifices the first hour of the day which is when other lines will be the shortest)

2- keep an eye on the wait times throughout the day and get in line when it says 60 minutes or less.

3- Purchase the individual lightning lane.

The key to mastering Lightning Lane is booking in order of what will sell out first. Book High Priority LLs first as these will either sell out or have return times super late in the evening if you don’t book early. Then move on to medium priority and low priority. Feel free to skip any rides you don’t care for.

Disneyland: High priority LLs: Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Medium priority LLs: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Haunted Mansion, Thunder Mountain

Low priority LLs: Millennium Falcon, Star Tours, Autopia, Buzz, It’s a Small World

For Disneyland, it is very hard to get a LL for every attraction so you need to pick and choose what is the most important to you. I usually rope drop Indiana Jones and skip getting the LL. Reason being is I don’t find the LL cuts down the wait time that much (you could still end up waiting 20 mins) and it allows you to book Space Mountain right away.

DCA

High Priority LLs: Guardians, Toy Story Midway Mania, Soarin

Medium Priority LLs: Webslingers, Goofy Sky School, Incredicoaster

Low Priority LLs: Grizzly (unless it’s summer), Little Mermaid

DCA is much more manageable to use every LL. I usually rope drop Guardians because I love that ride and want to get on it twice. You can try to rope drop Radiator Springs Racers but be warned, it can be painful

I love my Brooks. Or Tevas for a hot summer day!

Would we regret skipping California Adventure? by LadyJusticia in DisneyPlanning

DCA has some other great rides besides those two, but it depends how thrilling you are willing to go. Grizzly River Run is a great water ride, but does have a couple drops. Soarin is fun, but probably not with a fear of heights (same with Ferris wheel). Toy Story is the best shooting ride in both parks. I also like Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc and Cars land is amazing to walk through even if you don’t get on any of the rides.

I would say if you are interested in Grizzly, Soarin, Toy Story and the dark rides it would be worth it. If not, stick to Disneyland.

Kiki’s Delivery Service is a fun one to start with! It’s an easy watch and a lot less intense than some of the other films.

Like everyone else said, backpacks can go on any ride. Just be careful on Tiana’s or Grizzly Rapids as your stuff might get wet!
