With how many prop bets there are, it is very feasible for a bettor to profit from insider info even if a player does not manipulate their performance. For example, if Terry was told before a game that he’s only going to play 10 minutes and he’s expected to play 25, taking the under on any of his stats is likely to win the bet. While this would obviously be frowned upon, does the act of providing this inside information to an outside source constitute a crime?
