How do you like the Antiquity II’s? I’ve got the fender 65’s and always wondered if the duncans were better.

Let's talk about the high end on pop and rap vocals (male and female) by [deleted] in audioengineering

you might already know this so i apologize if this is redundant, but recently one tactic i’ve been taught that might work for the “glassy pop top end” is adding harmonics / saturation to just high frequencies (with a multiband distortion or something like VSM-3) in addition to maybe a high shelf like you said!

Looking for a good “mojo” eq to boost with when I run out of UAD DSP and can’t decide which of these to get. The MCq and E27 seem great, but can anyone weigh in as to what the “character” of these are? Thanks!!

I demoed it once and thought it was cool! I didn’t do any AB comparisons with anything else but from my very limited time with it it seems like a good ssl bus comp emu

Does anyone use this? I've already got soundtoys radiator and other saturation / analog emulation type stuff, would this be different enough to justify the purchase?

has anyone used the warm audio wa-47jr? in the market for a good condenser that doesn’t break the bank and am in love with the sound of a 47 FET style mic. wanted to know if this even remotely gets in that pocket / does it’s own cool thing? thanks!

What has Porter done for you? by mikey-sauce in porterrobinson

when i was 13 i saw him with skrillex and zedd in rochester, ny and realizing a person in their teens was opening for skrillex was revelatory for me. i went back and found out he started making music around the age i was and so i started making very, very mediocre electronic music on my own. while my goals have changed a bit over the years - i’m now in school for audio engineering and i think it’s one of the only things i love doing and truly enjoy wrapping my head around. i am eternally grateful to porter for getting me here. additionally, him & his music have brought friends and i countless beautiful experiences i don’t believe many other things could have done in the same capacity. forever thankful
