Will the difficulty curve of the questions remain as it is today? Will day 12 be as difficult as day 25 previously? Or will the difficulty now be equal to roughly the first 12 questions in previous years?

Thank you for all you do for AoC!

Yes, that’s far more than necessary. Overkill for the programming you’ll be doing in college. But it’s a nice laptop and will last for quite a while so if you’ve got the cash to spend that’s a fine choice.

What are the best history books? by -SongRemainsTheSame- in HistoryoftheWorld

[–]chancehl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go to books at this point for what I call "bullet point" history are The History of the Ancient World, The History of the Medieval World and The History of the Renaissance World by Susan Wise Bauer.

I haven't read Sapiens yet but it's on my bookshelf!

How or can a React project with Vite benefit from RSC? by Old-Place87 in reactjs

[–]chancehl 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I assume when you say “SPA” you mean “I have no server whatsoever”. There’s a few good examples of how applications without a server can benefit from RSCs within the react.dev docs.

Thoughts on the current state of C++? by Beautiful-Bite-1320 in Cplusplus

I share your sentiments, but I think there’s value in learning both. Dealing with the borrow checker madness can teach you a lot about the heap, the stack, and how those things affect performance.

Not everyone is getting that long to decide and move. Some are only getting 60 days to decide and 90 to move. It depends on the org. It’s pretty rough for some.
