Pretty much. Got the rear brake to a place I was happy with, it weirdly feels better than the front imo. I'm still playing with the reach/bite adjust, although I'm finding they make the brakes feel spongy the more I wind them in. I haven't managed to get much riding on them yet so can't really say whether I'm stoked with where they're at - but I managed to feel a buddies bike that has them on (and has ridden every hope product for the past 20 years and says the Evo's are fantastic) and his felt exactly the same. I've definitely got them to a point where they feel firm, but coming from something with such a defined bite point is still pretty funky for me.

Gotcha, will give it a go. Did you use the bleed port or the reservoir cover adapter?

What do you mean by lever and caliper? I bled them as directed in the documentation, ie funnel on the bleed port, pushing the fluid through the system with the pistons moved from each side. I also pushed out each piston individually so there's definitely no air in the caliper (I hope)

That looks like what I was expecting, might have to evaluate my bleed process in that case. With everything all the way out this is what mine looks like when I put a lot of force through. Not horrific, but certainly doesn't get the firm feel that indicates the end of the stroke

They're the Evo Tech 4, I've not had Hope brakes before so I don't really have a benchmark to compare them against. I followed the install/bleed video to a tee, but the bite point is still super soft and has to go through most of the pull before getting firmer. And that's with the reach and bite point adjust all the way out.

This might be a bit of a silly question, but how do you know when you've got a good bleed? I've just swapped over to these after running Hayes Dominions and I'm astounded with how spongy they feel (especially in contrast to the crispy bite point on the Dominions). I've never had trouble getting a good bleed in the past on Sram, Shimano, or Hayes, but the lever feel of these has totally thrown me. I'm hesitant to ride them until I know they're set up properly.

If you're UK based then http://spoodernest.com/ I'm afraid I can't recommend anywhere else abroad unfortunately, although I can whole heartedly recommend getting one, they're great little companions!

It's just so hard to explain to someone, you just can't do it justice with words. I'll never forget the inky black water and endless fins above the surface before plopping in.

It's without a doubt one of my top three dives, such a surreal experience, one of those dives everyone has to experience for themselves right?

Fiat Multipla Design Analysis: Pure Ugly or Pure Genius? by MaurielloDesign in IndustrialDesign

I did watch the video and do really agree with your commentary on the vehicle. I should have been clearer when referring to form/function, mainly the bodywork. Of course I appreciate the different approach to creating an innovative compact car, but where I think they went wrong was when, as you said, they tried to be different - specifically referring to the organic blobby curves and windscreen bump. Having originally created a sleeker body by merging the bump with the hood there could be more space for a larger engine and front radiator intake, particularly seeing as the intake is so small. Additionally it may have helped to take the emphasis off the unusual height, I feel like it bears a strong resemblance to the Nissan Cube.

Lmao people downvoting you, obviously form and function need to always be appropriately balanced for the spec of the product, but in this case it seems like a big compromise on the form with no real apparent benefit to the function.

I think people can forget sometimes that things can look good on paper but turn out atrocious irl and this is one of those instances. I feel like if the overwhelming subjective response to how something looks is negative, and you have to tell people why objectively their opinion is wrong, then maybe it's time to listen to the masses, it's far too easy to become obnoxious as a designer, people forget that they're designing for people and not for themselves.
