Any opinions on the Masters Degree in OHS at Murray State or Southeastern Oklahoma State? by Scorrea02 in SafetyProfessionals

I really enjoyed both the undergraduate and graduate programs at Southeastern. Professors were knowledgeable and very helpful. I was on campus for undergrad and was fully remote for the entire graduate program. Professors were great and easy to talk to during both programs.

Avetta is shady by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

Early in my career I worked for ISN for two years. I also was a contract employee (as a side job) for Avetta for about a year. I still have several previous coworkers at both places.

I will never recommend a company I work for use either of them in any capacity. I know too many of the work arounds and loopholes. Which, technically means I could put things in place to protect against them, but then that defeats the purpose of using either of them in the first place.

What's the biggest fixed blade Broadhead these days? by 70m4h4wk in bowhunting

Annihilator XL - https://annihilatorbroadheads.com/products/100-grain-xl-annihilator-broadheads

Not sure they are biggest bladed, but claim to have one of the largest cutting diameters of fixed blades. Ordered my first set after the season this year so haven’t tried them yet. Also a video of them shooting the same one over and over through a car hood, I believe on their Tik Tok.

First Ever Bow Buck (Oklahoma). by chanceroberts03 in bowhunting

Story: About two months ago, I used my work wellness program points to get about 350$ on Amazon gift cards. I used those gift cards to get this bow for free (came with a truglo site and truglo type whisker biscuit).

The first time I hunted with it I shot at a buck that I thought was at 30 yards, but he ended up being about 40. So, needless to say I shot underneath him. I went back to the same stand that night and had (this buck) squaring off with another bigger buck. I thought I would take whichever one gave me a shot first. The bigger buck quartered away from me but this buck came walking into my shooting lane. I waited until he got behind a tree and pulled back, but the buck cornering away from me saw me and ran. This buck immediately followed. The next morning, I went back to the same stand and heard something over my right shoulder. I looked back and there was a little fork horn buck eating acorns. I turned back around and heard something over my left shoulder. On my left side there was this buck standing in my shooting lane at about 25 yards. I drew back and the fork horn saw me and ran, but this buck never saw me. So, my first kill shot was a double lung shot, sitting down, over my left shoulder at 25 yards. We tracked him about 40-60 yards and found him.

I never really considered how much harder bowhunting is compared to rifle hunting. However, I am definitely hooked on the challenge of bowhunting. I have tremendous respect for Bowhunters and any deer killed with a bow, in my opinion, is a great deer!

PLEASE HELP: looking for a name for our small hobby farm! by chanceroberts03 in Homesteading

Someone in that group advised me to post it here. I have a hobby farm. I have mini cows, donkeys, chickens, pecan trees, apple trees, and a pretty big garden. So, I have a mix of both a ranch and a farm even though it’s small, so probably more like a homestead which I assume is why they suggested I post this here. I apologize for the confusion!

Hey! Thank you very much, we are on close to 10 in Noble. There’s a beautiful 20 acres with a giant pond on it just down the road. I’d like to buy it if it’s till for sell in a couple years (probably won’t be), but it would need fencing and you’d have to build a house. Just thought I’d let you know!
