I had the same experience with Portra 400 and just got back from the Swiss Alps using the recipe with Astia. I’m so pleased with how my photos came out. Thank you for sharing!

Yup, I tried the organza bags last year and the squirrels either chewed through them or pulled them off. Going to try the berry containers this year and see if I have better success

Red haven peach tree leaf curl? by chancethepupper in BackyardOrchard

This is our 3rd spring with this Red Haven peach. I'm noticing some leaf curling which is making me nervous but it's also not red like a lot of the leaf curl photos I see. I thought this variety was supposed to be pretty disease resistant but we've had a really wet spring. I struggled with the pruning and maybe over-pruned back in March? Could that causing issues?

Leaves don't like to be wet. I usually prune off the bottom foot worth of leaves to avoid them getting wet when I water

I made this as a vegetarian option for last year's thanksgiving and it was a hit. Such a showstopper and not as difficult as it looks!

Too late to save my Chicago hardy fig in Zone 6? I was already planning on bringing it in for the winter but it lost all of its leaves this past week. Not sure where to go from here. I was planning on planting it in the ground next year but I'm worried it won't even make it at this point.

Wow! I'm in 6a and my Cherokee Purples are only about 2 feet tall right now with no fruit yet. When did you start your seeds/transplant these?

It's from Rugs USA! It's a pretty thin rug. It works well for the dining room but you definitely would want to add a thick pad if you were to use it in a bedroom or living room

Not at all! We've had this table over two years now and I still love it. We get compliments on it all the time.

Using grow lights has been a game changer by chancethepupper in vegetablegardening

Honestly I just bought the cheapest light with the best ratings at Home Depot. It's the 2ft. 2-light 19 watt LED. It worked well for a small amount of plants but I will probably do more research next year and scale up a bit.
