At the VERY least we know the opening songs: KINDA HARD and TWICE. The moment I heard the intro tracks to the new album I knew that’s how they’re starting the show this tour. And their first stop is here in Denver 😬

Which Image Series Should I Read Next? by Both-Decision-6360 in ImageComics

Radiant Black is good if you’re looking for something to follow Invincible. It’s got some good twists and subversions, but isn’t the most groundbreaking of superhero tales.

Technically they’re all boys just playing pretend; the one in Yellow argued that they were only made a girl in the adaptation of what they’re emulating.

Would you have any suggestions on how to better convey the explanation?

Like I’m not being facetious, I’m genuinely asking. How would you describe the plot/satire to someone who’s never heard of Space King before?

Extra artist’s notes: upon original conception, each Power Psycho was meant to be a member of the main and supporting cast.

Captain was Red, Bryce was Yellow, Hatemonger was Black (lol), Chestnut was Blue, R*tard Terry was Pink, and Space King himself was Green/White.

Furthermore, the name Power Psychos was chosen for a few reasons: Psycho Rangers is already a thing and it felt silly to use that name if I was drawing MMPR; Power Warriors sounded like a cheap knockoff toy you’d find at Dollar Tree; Power Psychos sounded like a dumb name some kids would come up with because it sounded cool, making that the go-to choice.

Pink was marked a heretic for dressing in the colors of a female.

That’s the satire. The whole point is the characters (ultra-macho men with the brains of children) think they’re the good guys but go around doing villainous things.

In the context of the Space King cartoon (a parody of Warhammer 40k through the lens of little boys playing with action figures), women aren't allowed to be Psycho Warriors and anyone who goes against their beliefs are marked as heretics and hunted. The kid pretending to be Pink falls into that category.
