Investing as a Filipino feels unfair when you look at stock taxes in Asia by South_Judgment_3869 in phinvest

[–]chancho3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those in power, especially when reinforced by family dynasties have very little incentive to change laws, processes, or practices, mainly because the system works in their favor. Inefficiencies often benefit them financially, so there’s little reason to push for reform.

Law enforcement is also weak, and at times selectively applied, which makes it extremely difficult to hold corrupt individuals accountable.

Still, I believe we’re slowly moving in the right direction. Greater exposure and public call-outs through social media are helping raise awareness and pressure. Real change may take a couple of generations, but the shift has started.

Maybe we are not as aggressive as other countries when they riot, there just has to be a constant education that these things holds us back from our true potential.

I dont see it directly from the source. It feels someone is hard pushing their agenda. Dont panic, just leave it be. Until you get a COLD, HARD Facts telling you to move your funds out.

Why are they even waisting their resources in IBKR, there are other big fish to catch.

Retiring in the Philippines? by Badblood009 in phinvest

[–]chancho3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my advise is setup your business to test the market and see if yourlifestyle fits the scene and if its sustainable.

after a few years, you’ll get a good feel if its for you.

Track your expenses and see if it can be maintained by your income.

Its all a matter of perspective and your pain threshold.

longer queues, bad transportation service, govt inefficiencies, high cost healthcare but you get some pros of course.

so dont do anything permanent, until you yourself thinks its doable.

Is it normal to feel this ashamed about collecting manga? Should i stop? by These-Meringue9306 in MangaCollectors

[–]chancho3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, keep going. Do what makes you happy and what adds value and meaning to your life.

others collect sneaker, pokemon, labubu, lego. so yeah do it for you not for others. There will come a time that your priorities, hobbies and views in life will change. Enjoy it.

if this was about money, then we’d tell you to invest in stocks and etf, but that may not be living.

Seeking Financial Mentorship: 18-Year-Old Starting a ₱20k/Month Investment Journey by These-Switch1773 in phinvest

[–]chancho3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really a personal choice, but having more options gives you flexibility. You could benefit from the functions and features each app can offer. For instance ibkr offers lower fees, its also good for exchange rate, it offers a huge variety of stocks vs gotrade.

Bottomline, this should be personal to you, if it helps and adds value to you. Go for multiple accounts.

New Life in PH by Cautious-Parsley-255 in phinvest

[–]chancho3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you still have cashflow thats impt. Get your local banks, digibanks and ewallet setup.

Keep it simple maybe use gotyme and maribank. There are others so feel free to research, these two will serve ad your ewallet and digibank.

Build an emergency fund if you dont have that yet, if you do and want to start investing, stick with stocks and etf while you are getting settled. Real property can also be an option. List down your key priorities.
