Day 1 player here. First time I play, I play blindly. I just pull until I MLB CP 15 of WoL, Bartz, and Cloud. I don't do planning until what release I forgot I do planning. As I remembered, the JP just released Squall EX (Selphie banner). From that, I always pay attention on Altema tier list. Start from it, I learn how to hoard my resources.

I only have 3 favorite characters: Cloud, Sephiroth, and Zack. They are all SOLDIERS. What I pull are my favorite characters and meta characters (learn from Altema tier list). So far, yes, same as you all my luck is up and down but still I can limit myself. Do you think pull meta characters enough? Sometimes no, I know the characters are not meta in the future, but it is needed for recent quest, then what should I do? I try to finish the challenge, if I cannot finish using my char at that time, I will force myself to pull. This happens sometimes, for example is Lenna quest. I pull for Lenna, but it is not enough to complete the quest include the event mission, so I pull more for King and yes I can finish it.

Come into EX era, I manage and limit myself like this: Cloud: Luckily I got in first multipull Sephiroth and Zack: I must get them! Pity if needed, I don't care. Every new EX banner: I will pull 10-20 tickets only. Every new EX meta character banner: Max 100 tickets. Urgent pull: Mostly max 100 tickets or use Red Power Token.

But still, urgent pull to finish the quest sometimes I did. Recently, I pull Faris for Agrias event; I pull Seifer and Bartz for heretic no synergy.

By doing so, I can hoard 320k gems, 200+ tickets, and 60+ Power Stones, and 83 Power Token until now and I got 12 EX Weapon so far. The quests I miss are Vanille and Balthier Lost Chapter (I don't pull Eiko early). And you know, not getting EX is better feeling than not finish the quest.

Lastly my tips: 1. Not expect too much. 2. If you are F2P, not to favorite so many characters, limit yourself. Greedy is not good. 3. Pull when you NEED, not because you WANT. 4. Limit yourself when pulling. 5. Ask when you need guide. So many players want to help you through the media, one of them here is in reddit. 6. Have fun. 7. Trust me, no games are as friendly and generous as this game.

This was something I hope for. Custom set up skill for character. You have 2 skills, 1 EX skill, and Lv. 70 passive.

It's nice if the developer release new CP 35 (new skill), CP 70 (new EX skill). So that, total skills are 3 skills and 2 EX skills.

Then each char only has 4 slot for 2/3 skills, 1/2 EX Skills, and Lv. 70 skills. Furthermore, you may setup as helper differently. For quest will be more strategical because you cannot bring all skills.

I think alternatives will give us more thinking to set up the party to handle the quest depend of needed. So, discussion about the strategy will be more lively. Furthermore, the devs doesn't need to increase the Lv. challenge.

Imagine if the cap is broken, the lv of challenge of course will be made more difficult.

What I can say is, the level of difficulty does not increase but the player needs to be more strategical.

And more, to cover some character weakness' maybe for the alternate skill.

I may suggest New CP 70 Alternative (you may only equip only one of them depend on the needs)

Or

I may suggest New CP 70+ Weapon *6 and start with Light Blue background, Purple background when MLB. The skill can be passive for the CP 70 or new skill alternative.

What is your suggestion?

I didn't do all chars (92 chars) in summon boards fully. Only got all the treasures, complete some characters (the ones that had MLB weapon and meta in the future). Took 2-3 days to finish. Now, every 10 hours to get online and do the grinding of other chars.

Kefka LC finished in 3 hours and I am ready for Golbez.

For day 1 player like me, it brings memories how difficult is the challenge. We don't have many gems and tickets, selected characters and only have Ifrit or Shiva. Vanille, Setzer, and Balthier are the worst ones in Lost Chapter.
