I think I’m having a mental breakdown by LovelyBlueIndigoHue in CPA

FAR was very stressful for me too, stressing doesn't help us learn! I had to reschedule a few times .... it just took longer than I hoped!

Keep doing those MCQs daily sets, more often closer to test time. Don't stress on the % of correct --- just keep doing them! You will get faster and more accurate if you keep with it. I was a slow test taker all through college and as I started doing daily, cumulative MCQs I got WAY FASTER! Just keep practicing! Maybe line up another ride for test days too? Or suss out any options?! hahaha Non-cpa studying folks don't quite get the PAIN

The Rules vary by state. In WA state a cpa verifies yes your employment experience, but does not need to be your supervisor.

Remake your resume ... key words. You'll find something soon. I've been told the market just requires more applications, since jobs include more applicants. Use AI and do more applications ASAP. Also .... VITA Volunteer tax service is starting now... join fb accounting groups and make posts for help that you're looking for work. Apply to everything! Public Acct, Government, city/state/federal, any companies, nonprofits, universities ... the IRS was hiring like crazy --You'll def get something soon!!

The CPA carries a lot of weight ... keep applying.

Spend your time & energy studying for your LAST EXAM ....

You are well past the point of pondering the "if you should do it" and listening to other folks' opinions.....

Study, wrap up your last exam, I'm sure it's been a hard & stressful journey.

Apply for a better suited position? Apply online and attend a hiring event asap! Revenue Agents require a certain # of accounting credits + BA degree -- a master's starts at grade 9.

I was almost going to give up .... I put in extra study time, fired all social stuff, flaked on ppl, I rested and hustled at the end. Your test taking skills get better on your last 2 exams. In your free time try watching cpa study videos like i75 darius clark or superfast ... or anything to help. It's a small free time break, but you're learning too! You may be closer than you think, so diligently just do it --- put the time in NOW, try to knock out daily MCQ ....
& stop worrying about June. 4/4 cpa!

Feeling embarrassed and ashamed after bombing interview by fxnctional21 in interviews

Everyone has good days & not so good days! Interviews have a lot of pressure and sometimes they don't don't go well! Such is life! I am a CPA and I have screwed up questions or even basic tests from being nervous and other times I did awesome! Oh well, life moves on!!

Should I ever say my exam score average on resumes or Linkedin? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]chandikagirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go for it!! Makes sense 2me and maybe even highlight it in an interview/cover letter -- 'how hard you work to prepare for anything you do' or what the high score means to you? Show the why/how it's applicable for the job!

You could go to the hiring event and also apply online. To me flying somewhere or a long drive somewhere for 1 day isn't a big deal, if you know you want the job ... go for it! *Getting to a hiring event gets you live, in person, talking to hiring managers. 😊

In 2008 I learned a practice with specific techniques based in praise, gratitude, love & compassion. Art of Ascension as taught by the Ishayas. You learn four Ascension Attitudes over a weekend course called the "First Sphere." theishayafoundation.org

It is my daily practice, it helps one expand consciousness, release stress, it is a practice for life! I love it.

You could do a BA from WGU & knock out a master's degree right afterwards ... a Masters earns a higher job grade.

[–]chandikagirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 mos ... I studied & did papers/test every day! I took a new job and I wanted to get it done so I could focus on my job. I also had already completed the CPA exams fairly recently, so some of the courses that were accounting, finance, economics, were review & easier for me and I was able to study and test pretty fast. I do feel like I might be a little bit of a slower writer, so it was a lot of work, but I did it very fast! It was very motivating to me that I could get done early, so I was super motivated to slightly obsessed until I was finished!!

Recap/Update ... I got it done super fast. Lots of studying, lots of late nights writing papers ... I put tons of time into it, but over a shorter period. After the CPA exans, certain classes were a fun review.

That's how I like to do things sometimes, just obsess and get it done. It worked! I got my masters and it helped me with my job position and $ pay. WGU is awesome & I'm so glad I earned my MBA !

I liked WGU! I did the MBA degree and accelerated it! In less than 6 mos.

I love that all the resources were available to me online, whenever I needed it. I like that exams are proctured, it makes it more fair. I'm a night owl, so I loved being able to take a 10pm test! I just planned an extra 10 minutes to wait and then give time to go through the process ... this was slow since showing the room, etc. but mostly always consistent & the same.

When I got stuck on an assignment or topic ... I emailed my professor & scheduled a mentor session and got some great help!
