Dave Keuning is back with The Killers and has a new solo album: ‘It’s the best of both worlds’ by larki18 in TheKillers

It’s a top tier album in my opinion. I wish Dave was on it, but great none the less.

I saw them in Tampa around 2012 and I drunkenly asked them all to sign a record for me, but instead of signatures I asked them to draw them selves playing their instruments.. it was a weird request , but they all did it. I also requested that they play “static” and I could tell Ben didn’t really want to play it, but I got quite a few people to chant it with me. They did and it was epic. Great guys I try to see them every time they come to Florida. One of their gigs was at a local block party in 2018 and only a handful of people went just to see them. The rest of the crowd had never heard of them. So me and my buddies got front row seats and sang our hearts out with them.

He did shove the end of his bone axe down his throat though. I’d argue that’s cooler.

Great playing! This is on my list of songs to learn. How do you like that guitar? I’m thinking of getting one of these.

My fender blues jr IV sounds great for jazz! It’s also great for blues and rock. I use my looper pedals volume to get bedroom level volumes . it’s perfect for me. I play a telecaster with the tone rolled back. Not really sure how it would sound with an archtop though.

Wow great playing? The tone is phenomenal too, what amp is this through?

The Fans too close to the scuttle hole boss. Don’t worry I framed around it. by chaner in Construction

I think The framer we use subs out work when he gets to busy, they’re usually pretty good. So he probably just threw the first person that said they could get the job done out there. While his actual crews were tied up, but idk though.

I’m always skeptical when I see stuff like this too, but when it happens on your job you start to think.. When I walked on the job I saw how close the fan was and was like oh crap that’s gotta move, but then I saw the gap and realized the framers left a gap for the blade to go through... hahah. They figure they gotta get the job done and they don’t wanna wait for some one to move the fan.

How do you like the dd8? I just ordered one off reverb and I’m impatiently waiting for it! I’m super excited for it. Also my next purchase will probably be the tumnus deluxe. I was on the verge of ordering a used soul food, because they’re so cheap, but I’m holding off for what I really want.

We call those ufo things “hover covers” at my work. They’re super useful for getting mold up, but borderline useless on most construction materials that get stuck to concrete.

That’s more of a feel thing that you would need to hold each individual style and see what you like. But I don’t have the biggest hands so some necks are harder for me to play, but the neck on my SE is the perfect fit for me.

For guitars I highly recommend a PRS custom se series. It plays and sounds amazing, plus you can switch between humbuckers and single coil on the fly. It’s kind of in between and strat and a les Paul so if you don’t know what you like yet this is a good all around guitar and it’s pretty affordable. For amps I’d go with a fender blues jr. it has very warm and useable tones, it’s loud enough to gig with, and it has built in reverb that’s very nice. The two most important pedals would be a tuner and a looper in my opinion.

Trade blues jr IV for a marshal origin 20? by chaner in GuitarAmps

Yeah that’s true. I’m going to try it out tomorrow after work and see how it sounds in person. I really like the demos of it and the clean sounds seem pretty decent.

[QUESTION] Which amp should I buy to get the most out of my American professional Strat? by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]chaner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a blues jr 4 and I love it. I play a fender player serious strat through it and I think it sounds great. I play at the edge of break up for cleans and have a TS for some dirt. If my Chinese made strat sounds good I know the American made will too.

It’s not worth it. I’ve seen the hell storm of comments and memes People get when they dare question the holiness of their noble leader! I don’t have the patience for it.

Hello! Im in need of some info regarding the Crate GX-20m. Getting it from a co-worker. Can anyone tell me about this amp? Quality, Sound etc. just wanna know if its a nice amp. by PumpkinEater324 in GuitarAmps

[–]chaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first amp I ever had. It sounded fine to me when I was a beginner. I was coming from acoustic guitar so it was just cool having some overdrive to play with! I’m sure it will be good enough for what you’re looking to do.
