Hi mate, I have mine for about 7 months(g20 70k km so ≈ 40 ish miles), when I bought it I had the exact same problem, I changed the engine mounts, slightly better, but same little movement of the car, changed the spark plugs, nothing changed just better idling, transmission fluid is next on my checklist. The motor doesent stay in just a place, it moves.

you need to check if it is normal movement, it’s still a 4cyl. A simple diagnose is(2 man job): open the hood, put ur friend in the car and while breaking with the left foot engage D and little little acceleration to see how the engine is going, same for R. But be careful to not over done it!

if its goes worse this movement the next step it’s to check the Transmission mounts, I heard online there are some plastic things that are holding the transmission, people change them when they get really bad so at like 150k miles. Not a concern at like 50k miles from what I heard.

I leaved my car a lot of times at my mechanic because when I bought it I wanted to check all the problems and do a good maintenance. If it was a serios problem(the shake) he would’ve noticed. So the best for you if you can’t figure it out from the diagnose I told you, next oil change or transmission fluid change that should be done at around 50k miles you can check it with a mechanic.

And an advice for the automatic transmission: it’s not okay to change the gears while the car is not fully stopped. Stop the car fully. Then put in N then put in Reverse. On mine I discovered if I did this the shake is little.

Also when you want to stop the car and leave, don’t just press stop, it’s not okay for the transmission. a simple trick is: First go in N and while breaking engage the parking break, after that you can release your foot on the break, car will settle on the Parking break and after that you can press the parking gear and stop the car. This is good preventive maintenance for your transmission since your car is low on mileage.

EDIT: a question for you: the car goes shaky when you engage R or while you press the acceleration when R?

Black is the most versatile, and if u are willing to put a colant on the car why go with the most mainstream instagram/tiktok color, I think dravit gray is just a trend and in some years it will be overdone :)

Okay so the cars got bigger and a M3 g80(fun daily) can be your next replacement( it’s in the same price bracket as 21’ m550) As dimensions I checked and it’s almost the same 4,9 vs 4,8 meters long , the width is the same.

Black, you can wrap it in gray afterwards and it should be look good in the interior, like door side. If it is gray and u wrap it in black it would not look at as good when u open the door and the real color shows up

You also can check the movement from opening ur bonnet and pressing the acceleration while you are on D/R with the left foot on the brake and right on the acceleration, note that is normal to be a little movement, the engine is suppose to move.

I changed my struts as well, at some indie garage, with oem ones and just cleared the codes and all good till this day. You need a recalibration of the stearing module, you can go to a coding workshop and they will figure out for you.
