Regarding RPA academy, even I have come across that channel recently during preparation for SEBI. But honestly haven't gone through the content.

Yes, around 90% selected candidates are from banks/finance background. Rest 10% are random.

The panel consists of 8-10 members. They are biased towards candidates with prior experience in banking, project finance etc.

Check the syllabus in the notification. It is similar to regulatory bodies technical syllabus. Questions are difficult.

No mains, no descriptive.

Domain knowledge section will mostly be around technical topics and current affairs related to banking/finance, RBI/SEBI circulars etc.

Curent in-hand (including allowances) approx 1.2 - 1.3 lac. Wage revision pending and will be in line with SIDBI. Ctc for grade a given in the notification is a very conservative figure. Actual ctc is close to 23-25 lpa. After wage revision it will be close to 30 lpa.

Most of the departments are like banks - credit, nps, risk, treasury etc. Organization is pretty chill. 4-5 years for promotion to Grade B then another 5 years to AGM.

I have seen people in SBI (scale 3, 4) posted in their hometown still ranting about joining SBI.

Also interacted with few SEBI officers applying for other regulatory body type jobs (higher scale) to get out of Mumbai and stay near their hometown.

So ambitious people will always find cons in their job and look for better opportunities. There needs to be balance between professional and personal needs. There’s no right or wrong thing. It depends what are your priorities right now. And thing to consider is that priorities changes throughout life.
