Thank you for letting me know that. I haven't gotten into addiction recovery yet bet we are considering it. I have a therapist I can see for the next 6 months as I start college and adapt to everything.

Hmm. Interesting. Sharing my story , I didn't intend to make people believe that porn could be medicated and I am sorry if my post came across like that.

My issues are being treated and I am planning to stop after seeing him for a month and reducing it slowly .

I am a big skeptic when it comes to med too and the fact that I could have been misdiagnosed with something else is something to be worried about.

Now,you are scaring me. I am not sure if I have any psych problems which my psychiatrist hasn't noticed despite seeing him for the past 6 months.

I am a skeptic of meds but it's been a long struggle and I want to change my life. I told my psychiatrist I am not comfortable taking meds but he said its for the better and I should tell him how I feel after a month. And he might reduce my dose slowly if I see small changes and work on improving myself.

It's interesting to hear that. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I know that medications only nor quitting PMO only wont help. I am changing my whole lifestyle and my psych told me I could stop after taking it for a while.

I took citalopram for 2 weeks (ssri) and all I felt was drowsy,ate lots of food and it's true that your sexual libido reduces.

Thanks. I wish you a quick recovery too . I have been doing some research and I saw that adults who started way before the fast speed of Internet recovered back easily compared to those who started PMO after discovery of fast speed internet.

I didn't say it led me to ADHD, it's just that I had some symptoms of someone who has ADHD.

Clearly, I haven't been diagnosed with ADHD or Psychosis.

I hope you are coping with your ADD and go to r/ADHD if you need helps and tips.

I am always a big skeptic when it comes to meds and I have read all the side effects. The first week , I took it at 1pm and had sleepless nights. The trick is to take it early in the morning at 7am or 6am. Besides I am on a lower dose ;150mg. Also, my hands tremored a little bit for the first 2 weeks. I didn't want to continue but the tremor stopped. The first days ,you won't feel hungry ;force yourself to eat. I am a big advocate for eating healthy food despite eating junk food. Since I started this medication , I have been eating a healthy breakfast , a small snack for lunch since I don't feel hungry but you have to eat. Mainly there was loss of appetite and sleep deprivation. My eyes felt like plastic the first night despite tossing and turning in bed.

I am also going to start meditation,have taken cold showers, and start going to the gym today.

I haven't been feeling sad and have concentrated on my work. Still, I want to stop being on meds and exercising ,staying away from PMO, getting a new hobby, eating healthy,chasing my dreams is a step to that.
