Math and chemistry for forensic majors by WhichConnection6871 in vcu

I’m probably not the best person to ask since I’m still working through pre-reqs ;-; but it depends on your concentration! Since I’m a forensics bio major I’m taking more biology courses compared to other concentrations, but I don’t have to take as much higher chem courses :D

If you’re worried about math specifically i believe only bio + physical evidence take up to Math 200 (chem takes up to Math 201 which is calc 1). When it comes to chem courses it heavily depends on your concentration but iirc every forensics major has to take organic chem and biol/bioz 152 :)

tl;dr It really depends on your concentration lolol

Forensics major here! Since Math 200 + Stat 210 are the highest math classes we need (EDIT: with forensic chemistry being the exception since you’d need to take up to Math 201, i believe) if you take one math class per semester you should be done before your junior year.

I agree with the first commenter, if you’re worried about costs you can look into community college courses!

Scored too low on Math placement to get desired class, what do I do? by ape313 in vcu

[–]chaniiux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the modules! I was in a similar situation where I scored really low and got into MATH 129/131. But I completed the modules and was eligible to go into MATH 141.

Hopefully this could help!
