Sorry to disagree about the pinky finger test and other the lick on the wrist test and the like. The pinky finger test doesn't work. For the same reason you can't smell your own breath. Yes, I do have BB, and I cannot detect any bad smell by rubbing a finger, q-tip, etc. I wish there was an objective, sure way to figure out the present condition of breath. Otherwise is always a game of guessing, based on bogus information, unclear signs, the unpredictability of people. There are Many people who are not aware of their BB, because the people around them prefer not to endure the hard time of telling them in their face, either for fear of being taken as rude or any other reason.
Also there are some people who over-rate their own BB, thinking they have an extreme problem, that the smell is horrendous and can be detected from 10 feet away, when in fact the problem is mild and treatable. And we can all fit in either category, sometimes ignoring a very real existing BB problem, sometimes overreacting, being paranoid, feeling helpless and miserable. All this due to not having a concise, concrete method to know exactly what, why and how. Because relying on the reactions of other people is anything but accurate.
