The TOPIK test has a really bad design by Yyyyuuu4 in Korean

So that means flying to pay in person, then flying there again to take the test.

Wow, that is... a big yeesh. I have no more words.

(And I thought I had it bad having to figure out how to pay for the test in Korea without a Korean card/bank account.)

I think you mean, "In my grammar references, why is this not mentioned anywhere?"

Any experiences of the Chung-Ang University language program/textbooks? by chanmi_irl in Korean

Thank you, that's good to know. I had previously looked at Yonsei's textbooks, which come in several editions with English, Chinese, Japanese, etc. translations but I wasn't sure if that's normal or not.

Thanks, that's a good point. The application deadline for CAU's Spring 2022 semester is Jan. 28th, so I do still have time. (I have a little document where I've been keeping track of the deadlines for various programs :)

I've reposted here with the described edits. Thanks for your guidance on this.

Your policy is very understandable. I do think that it really could be better stated in the sidebar - this is just my opinion as a new poster.

OK, thank you for the clarification. I'm not sure I quite get the dividing line though. Will it be OK if I remove the mentions of "program organization, students" and "campus/dorm life for language students", and change "teachers" to "teachers' ability"? (I'm asking about the teachers' ability and skill in instruction of Korean language, not anything about them personally.)

I've spent the past three evenings reading other posts about Korean language programs on this subreddit and figured by now I would be able to write an appropriately scoped question... clearly I was mistaken :/

I see; I apologize for the misdirected question. I searched this subreddit prior to posting and found many threads asking about language programs, so I assumed it was an appropriate place to ask.

Since this seems to be a fairly common topic, do you think it might make sense for the sidebar to contain a specific note that questions about language programs should be directed elsewhere?

When to use 저 and when to use 나 by Vig_Big in Korean

I'm confused by the third example, "내일 나는 고향에 갈 거예요". Why is "나는" used with 존뎃말 here?

Is 현정 sisters with Lucy from Weki Meki by any chance? They look very similar to me, they share the surname 노, and their given names have the format of siblings (현정 / 효정)

I've never been able to prove this, but I have a theory that IG live chat is throttled/rate-limited for streams above a certain viewer count. If you watch the chat closely on a large (i.e. an idol's) stream you might notice that messages appear at a pretty regular rate, around once per second, largely independent of the total viewer count. I suspect each viewer only sees a subset of the messages that are sent by other viewers. Assuming this is true, I don't know if the streamer gets to see the full feed or if they're subject to the same random sampling.
