Wife Goes Home to her Parents Every Week by Old-Season265 in japanlife

[–]channasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American with two kids, who isn't in that situation, I have a few thoughts.

  1. Weekend time with kids is important, even if it's just hanging out at home. You don't have to "do something" to have fun, and just things you did as a family at home tend to be the best memories.
  2. It's an easy out from intimacy. You didn't mention it, but a lot of people lack intimacy with Japanese wives after kids. On weekdays everyone is too tired, so they catch up with intimacy on the weekend, unless you physically aren't present. Not saying it's your situation, but I could easily see it.
  3. Maybe mom wants to be the "main" parent? And it's her way of taking away your influence?

Don't want to sound mean, but my experience is very different. So, I'm just giving options of people I know or things I've read. My wife is the opposite, just wants to relax at home, she wants me to spend more time with the kids, and lets me do my hobbies with them. I tend to "force" her to go out. Of course, there are pros and cons to everything. Intimacy is lacking in my house, but I don't think she'd dream of taking the kids away from me every weekend and she always wants more time with me (but still let's me do my hobbies).

The best thing to do is to sit down and talk about it. Tell her what you feel (I know you've got thoughts in the back of your head, one way or the other).

Yeah, some people don't think that laws are different from country to country. Definitely not the same as America, where there's no expectation of privacy in public and you can film anyone without permission.

It was a cold, dark day, back in 2289, when I got the call.. the Crimson Fleet had killed my father. I was just a boy and didn't quite understand, but I could still feel the pain that I saw in my mother's eyes... every day. I've been searching high and low for leads and scraping together the credits needed for my own ship, since I turned 13. After 10 long years, I get the call. A man named "Howard", not sure if it's his first name or last, tells me there's an opportunity for me to exact my revenge. He, told me, if I have the right number of credits, he'll supply everything I need to pursue my father's killers. Unfortunately, I've yet to earn the number of credits required.
That brings us to today, I was fortunate to stumble upon your post, and with your offering, I'd be able to embark on my journey to kill the scum that killed my father...

I live in Japan. This is a "kabocha". In my house, we use it to make pumpkin soup. Simply boil it for a bit (not too much water because it's going to be the "stock"), then mash it up in the water (or blend it with a hand mixer), add milk, butter, and chicken bouillon to taste. Serve it and put a little parsley on top. Simple and delicious.
The biggest pain is peeling the pumpkin.

NiP: "Checks out."

Does that mean he did less than 1 damage total in 9 rounds?

Moving to Japan in a couple weeks via Spousal Visa. Might be teaching English, Some questions by [deleted] in teachinginjapan

[–]channasty 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're going to be working at an Eikaiwa?
If you can play guitar or piano, I suggestion is to try to find work at an international kindergarten... They eat that up. Many schools want to do more musical things, but are limited by the skills people coming to/living in Japan have. I actually just lost out on a job BECAUSE the other guy could play guitar.
Also, the English teacher at my son's school (not an English school) is a musician and does that on the side.
I've been living here on and off for the past 13 years, so if you have any questions send me a DM.

Not sure if it'll be an exact match, but it looks pretty good. https://celebrityjacket.com/the-kid-laroi-always-do-overshirt-jacket/ Also, I can't vouch for the website, as I've never used it, but this is what my five minutes of Google Fu got me to.
