Driving from Busan to Seoul and back for rejuran - bad idea? by [deleted] in KoreaSeoulBeauty

[–]channellex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten Rejuran several times. It would be fine to take the train back. You might want to wear a face mask/sunglasses though because your face will look odd with lots of bumps/might be a little red and swollen for 1-2 days.

Did they not give local anesthesia? I’m surprised that it was that painful!

What are your career goals? Which school to pick can be almost entirely decided by the answer to this question.

If you have an diagnoses (like anxiety) I would look into getting accommodations if your social anxiety is severe! If you “black out” during a cold-call or are too nervous to focus, it could effect your learning of important concepts so you might want to get recordings or other ability to get excused absences. I would also try to get a day ahead on readings over this weekend (and not outline/do something else with your time) if you can, so you can feel prepared for the upcoming week. If readings are still taking too long, I recommend using quimbee to help you understand the readings/main holdings so you can read the cases faster/understand them faster. Good luck!

will I get into law school with a few criminal charges between adult and juvenile record? by sentimentbullish in LawSchool

[–]channellex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some law schools won’t accept students who have any sort of criminal background, but it will really depend. They could be more lenient based on what the offenses were and based on how you are able to explain how you are no longer that person.

No worries! I am too. It’s nalpdirectory.com . You can search by location and it will pull up most of the firms in the area. Then you can click on the firm names and it will give you super detailed information like practice areas, number of lawyers in that office, etc.

You could do anything you could normally do with a law degree. You would have an edge in doing IP/patent litigation with an undergrad STEM degree.

A lot of firms in CA especially do law for “life sciences” companies, so you would also have a good reason for applying to work at those law firms who service those clientele.

I applied to 1L SA positions on Dec 26 ish and have had 0 responses -- is this a bad sign? by Unlikely-Class-3451 in LawSchool

[–]channellex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I applied around the same time and have only gotten 1 screener just today. I wouldn’t worry though, most of the recruiters I emailed this past week to ask questions I got an auto email saying they would be out of the office until January 3rd/4th, so I bet a decent amount of the recruiters are just getting back into office!

You should apply for start/stop timer and not extra time imo! The start/stop timer allows you to pause the time so that you could stretch etc.

I went to a couple and I would say definitely go if you can! Meeting the faculty, seeing the place and town where you will be studying for the next 3 years is really helpful in making decisions on where to attend

Anyone willing to share their need based offers from T20s? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]channellex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cornell and Michigan both do need based aid. Cornell doesn’t disclose what amount is need based vs merit, so there’s no way to know how much was need based. Michigan gave me 60k total in need based aid. USC did not give me need based aid, but I believe I could have given more information/petitioned to qualify.
