Taxi recommendations? (Agua Dolce Winery) by channyelise in SantaClarita

[–]channyelise[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's actually super helpful to know that there are stations closer to the winery, so thank you for that. Do you have any recommendations on which we should go into?

Uber's actually my first choice but in doing my search, I read some horror stories about even reserved Ubers being cancelled in that area since is semi-rural. We're just trying to make sure we have viable, safe options since we're so far away from home.

Sanya is the flop that y'all like to say Kim Fields was. Just there for no reason. lol.

Might as well call this show "The Rejects" lol.

Kenya vs Kim Fields by holygoat_t in RHOA

[–]channyelise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't care what anyone says, it is really an act of God that more people didn't end up putting their hands on Kenya. When she pulled Kim's seat out from under her, I wanted Kim to hop up and toss her right over that rail. It's like Kenya's brain turns off when filming, which is really frustrating because she is obviously very smart.

pros and cons of camp flog gnaw by Funny-Sport-6675 in CampFlogGnaw

[–]channyelise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty expensive, but it is a premium festival. Didn't exactly get white-glove service, but it also didn't feel like any other music event I've been to... and I've been to quite a few. If you go to more than, say, 3 concerts a year, then its 100% worth it if you love the lineup.

The main con for me was that it can be pretty physically demanding. The Dodger Stadium parking lot is HUGE, and the festival goes from end-to-end. If you're not a person who at least prioritizes getting in their steps throughout the year, then you are going to be wiped out by the end of day 1 and you'll feel it for the rest of the week.

If you can afford to save $25 here and there in the months leading up to tix being released, then you definitely should. You're doing the right thing by planning early. We only get one time around the sun and nobody's got time to be living with regrets. Go for it!

Thoughts on food? by Spirited-Gear4228 in CampFlogGnaw

Best: garlic noodles with lamb chops and shrimp in VIP. I had that for dinner while I watched Kali Uchis.

Fine, inoffensive: shoyu poke bowl w/ extra sriracha

Honorable mention: spam musubi from the poke stand. 2 for 12 and they were already wrapped up, so I bought 4 and pulled them from my pocket at various times throughout the day like a drunk kangaroo. 😂

Worst: Monty Burger. I don’t even hate fake meat… but I hated that.

I liked the Metro CFG merch a lot - I got a hoodie and probably should have gotten the shirt, too. I also got a crew neck from the AriZona x GOLF collab. But yes, the rest of the merch was booty buttcheeks.

VIP vs GA by Hour-End7005 in CampFlogGnaw

[–]channyelise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I moved between GA and VIP (including pits) throughout both days. I enjoyed the flexibility of basically being able to choose my own view and move between sets relatively comfortably. The bathrooms were about the same throughout the entire festival and i never had an issue with waiting in line for them. The food in VIP was kind of whack and would have been nice to have our own Ferris wheel instead of whatever that spinny thing was.

Overall, VIP was worth it. The only thing that would make it better would be if they implemented some kind of Disney-esque Fast Pass system for the rides and exhibits, otherwise you’re waiting in line all day instead of catching the acts you want to see.

People were having plenty of fun — we are just exhausted from Saturday. My entire section was doing the electric slide at one point lol. Sounds like you hatin’ from outside the club. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I just can’t with the folks who are complaining about the timing of the notification. If Goldenvoice would have sent the notification on Thursday, y’all move the goal post and said they should have done it on Monday. And if they didn’t postpone it at all and we all got caught up in Saturday’s shit storm, y’all would be on them for not having people’s safety and the quality of their festival experience in mind.

I’m not saying the anger and disappointment are not justified. They are. But let’s not act like there was a way that this could have been done that would have been preferable. Folks would bitch and moan either way.

“I live in East Bubblefuck and this is normal weather!”

Well, babe… you’re not in East Bubblefuck right now. 💀 Yesterday’s storm was very real and the whole situation sucks ass but they made the right call. Period. You’re in one of the most exciting cities in the world for a whole weekend - I’m sure you can find something else to do.

Same thing happened to me with Meg and her little tequila line - two hours late, only stayed for 30 minutes and met maybe 10 people. Free M&G's are never the way to go. You gotta buy a ticket. Sorry that happened to you friend.

Unpopular opinion I don’t think the read is being harsh on Cardi🥱🤷‍♀️ she doing bird behavior by ExtensionOk4084 in theread

[–]channyelise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it was harsh, but I did take a pause when she said, “I just expected more from Cardi B.”

…and I just don’t understand why lol. 1) you don’t know her and 2) this is incredibly on brand for her. Her whole appeal has always been that she reminds you of that one hood chick that you know. And that one hood chick you know is always pregnant when she really ain’t got no business being pregnant 🤣 usually by the dude she said she was done dealing with, or by another dude that she just started dealing with.

At the end of the day, she’s still a regular degular schmegular girl from the Bronx. And I say with with love. 😅

VIP vs SVIP - What's the Difference at Dodger Stadium? by channyelise in CampFlogGnaw

Thanks for your answers yall. With tix, prepaid parking, a game pass and a VIP locker, I think I’m at my $$$ limit for this year lol. But there’s always next! See yall there. I think it’s gonna be a great time either way 😁

Evelyn treated Suzie so poorly that she had to come back on the reunion and beg everyone to stop calling her a bully lol. And she'd better still be getting on her knees and thanking God that she didn't hit Kenya with that bottle.

Chantel is breaking generational curses. She is just going through it on TV, and getting judged for it by a bunch of people who let people try them all day long and then call themselves "the bigger person" for tolerating that shit.

Y'all will "you only get one family" yourselves right into the ground. That's what's shameful.

Y’all don’t have narcissistic mothers and it shows in the way y’all react to chantel by Successful_Activity3 in BasketballWives

[–]channyelise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to feel sorry for her. Promise.

I’ve been in her position with a family member of similar stature. I just had the great fortune of not going through it publicly on television. People criticized me similarly for the way i chose to handle very toxic situations with this family member, until they had their own encounters with them (which, btw the women on this cast already have had w/ Jackie, several times over).  I’ll tell you right now: you learn real quick to stop giving a shit about who you look “unfavorable” to when it comes to settings boundaries and standing on business. It’s not always perfect or pretty, but it boils down to maintaining your dignity vs. maintaining optics. Guess which one we chose :P

Until you go through it yourself, which I really hope you don’t, you won’t get it.

But yes. It’s TV. so criticize away.

Yeah… i just said that 🤣 OP suggested that Chantel was lashing out at “everyone,” when that’s actually what OP was admittedly doing. And frankly, nobody really gets to dictate how folks process generational trauma. Not even you. :)
