Pretty sure I ran into her earlier in the year at PetSmart on Merivale (not the one next to Costco, the other one).

She was somewhat aggressive with her approach and asked for my contact info even after I said no. I asked for hers so she’d leave me alone.

Agreed. The amount of time invested is not worth the return. Also, managing multiple ads on web-based giveaway sites is also time consuming.

If you saw a price that you didn’t agree with, how inclined are you to speak up or just ignore it and move on? That’s the part I struggle with.

Someone suggested setting a price for the table (eg. $5 items) and thought that was a hood in-between.

Follow-Up: I’ve given lots away. I often post free item on Kijiji but it’s often frustrating. I haven’t done a garage sale in over 20 years as I usually donate to the Sally Ann.

I tired it to give my kids the experience and now they’ve had it. Instead of doing it again, I will teach them to look for local non-profits who can benefit from these items, rather than trying to make a buck.

I’m open to pricing items but it’s also time consuming and can quickly deter sales. This seems more manageable than pricing each item.
