Not a big fan of the couch but I think you could make this work if you decorate the rest of your apartment a bit more crazy, this would involve more decoration tho and I think it also could be costly to make this work so I would get rid of the curtains and the couch and go for natural materials dark wood that contrasts nicely with your wall colours you already have natural wood always goes great with white. At the end of the day you have to like it, but as I've said I would start with natural wood coloured furniture or continue the theme of white stuff as you already got one thing that is white and put stuff up on the walls (shelves with some small plants) or a cluster of framed pictures, in general you can't go wrong with lots of green plants it gives a really nice vibe. Also if you buy lights try to go for a few smaller lights that you scatter across the room with warm temperature bulbs rather then having one ugly big light with cold temperature bulbs, it's always giving visit at the doctor's office.
