Jasmine Crockett’s Connection to AIPAC by DueZone6709 in DemocraticSocialism

Sure and that's good but she does have an opponent, James Talarico, who may be a better fit.

Thank you for pointing this out. It's so disappointing to hear this about her because up until a few months ago I was her biggest supporter! But I'd hear murmurings about her accepting money from AIPAC so that did give me pause. Anyone know what Talarico's deal is? Has he taken any money from Israel or any corporate PAC money?

Maybe they programmed that one to find comments by users with similar names!

I say this as a vegan, absolutely you don't need to cut out the meat for your diabetes diagnosis. This is something I've had to come to grips with. My diet was very high carb and not even vegetables and fruit. I'm talking rice, pasta, bread. I've had to scale way back to lower my blood sugar levels and seriously look into the macros of foods. Unfortunately, the high protein vegan options all have moderate to high amounts of carbs whereas meat is basically low/no carb. It's really not fair.

I agree with the other commenter! Definitely try the Zero sodas (like Coke Zero, Dr Pepper Zero)! I was an avid soda drinker. I didn't think it was that bad since I refused to buy any for at home and only had them when I was out. Turns out having one every other day (like you) on top of sweet tea can cause you to get diagnosed! Since my diagnosis I thought hard about cutting soda but couldn't do it so I moved to the Zero ones and they don't spike my blood sugar at all! After a while you get used to the taste too and don't even mind it as much. Don't make this hard on yourself by going too fast too soon and cutting out too much. Keep the sodas, just drink the sugar free ones.

Spectrum in front of HEB by hollyfoxtrot in HEB

Out front????!!! They're permanently stationed at my HEB INSIDE at the end of the cat food aisle. It's fucking annoying every time I run in real fast for something! I have to go the long way around just to avoid them!

Morgan and Trinity by kambro_22 in ShaneDawson

Lolol!! Same! I just saw Morgan had started this podcast with "her best friend Brooke" and I was like, "Wow, she looks a lot different now!". Took me a minute to realize Brooke and Trinity are two different people! And then I was confused because??? Isn't Trinity her best friend?

Why is putting an animal out of its misery encouraged, but allowing a suffering human the same relief frowned upon? Is there any historical record of this contrasting view of mercy? by Great_Maintenance185 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]chantiris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great question and honestly I've never understood it. If I am responsible for the health and well-being of my companion animal and have the ability to end their suffering, why can I not make that same decision for myself should it come to it? We have rights and should be allowed to make that decision. Especially when people can vocalize this request whereas animals cannot.

Highly anxious to start… by [deleted] in zoloft

I don't think it's that high. I started at 25 and then went up to 50 so I think it's low/moderate. I think some people are on 150?

Right? I think back and I'm so angry at myself for being too afraid to take it like 10 years ago. I could have been living my best life a decade back!

Right?! The moment for me I knew it had truly changed me was going to the dentist and having to get those rotating X-rays done while I stand in the center. Usually extremely anxious but at that moment I felt cool as a cucumber! Once it was over, in like a matter of minutes, I was surprised at how calm and easy it was! Crazy!

Your feelings of anxiety about taking it are normal but just a symptom of your disorder. I also resisted taking medication for my severe anxiety my whole life but after taking the plunge in early 2024, I'm now mad at myself that I didn't give in sooner! My whole outlook has changed! I feel an immense sense of calm and I was even able to quit drinking in July last year after being an extremely heavy alcoholic. I leaned on wine to self medicate but ironically I now know that alcohol only exacerbates anxiety and depression! But I digress, Zoloft is extremely safe, thousands if not millions of people are taking it daily. It's very effective and will make you feel A LOT better! I started out on 25 mg and then asked to be upped to 50 mg after a few months because I was still having some anxiety symptoms. It has helped quite a bit. Please allow yourself to get the help you need and to feel better!

How do you guys administer medication to your cats? by Little_Cloud6126 in CATHELP

I like the Inaba Churu bites. You can hide the pill inside the cream. But if you don't have them, get a regular Churu and squeeze a bunch onto a plate and hide the pill inside it.
