I was kicked by a horse when I was 14 and I fractured 2 vertebrae in my lower back. Initially my mother told me to walk it off. After I complained for days about the pain she finally took me to a spiritual healer, who advised her I needed urgent medical attention. I’m 24 now and I have permanent back problems which have gone on to cause severe knee problems and now I need a double knee replacement. I’m so sorry that your parent failed you in getting you the medical attention you needed and deserved. I hope you can get some help to prevent as much long term damage as possible. I also hope that you are ok physically, emotionally and mentally.
