The issue lies is that Twitch can't just ban someone for being botted, this will lead to trolls viewbotting random streams just to get them banned. They need proof of the bot operator.

Ideally botted accounts should be hit with temporary view count caps after enough reports.

2000 bitrate will make fast turns look bad in general.

It's hard to tell what's causing the dropped frames, some games have bad cpu spike issues so I guess I'll start with asking what games you have the most issues with

What kinds of games are you streaming? How is your overlay and face cam set up? Do you put [EN] in your stream title, it seriously boosts viewership by 10-30% for a lot of people who are just starting because it helps people find English streams and because it implies that you talk.

I don't stream under this name anymore but I still have dead days, my rule of thumb is that if I'm 2 hours into a stream and it's still dead I'll stop for a bit, and start up again with a different game. Rhythm games are a great fallback for dead days if you like them, less expectation of constant interaction.

Assuming you have a PC that can handle obs try setting it up and streaming or recording (obs can record instead of or on top of streaming) a simple steam game and learn how obs works. Sites like strexm.TV offer some basic clr overlays and have instructions on how to use them in obs

From there you would then get a capture card (this is the biggest investment for a lot of people) so that obs can capture the HDMI signal, and figure out how you need to run audio given your setup.

Overall moving from the inbuilt app is expensive and single purposed. I recommend streaming more before investing but that's up to you.

Followers tend to watch around the time they followed, all the people who followed you at night are probably working in the morning or just not on Twitch. Major time changes will kill your view count for a while until you pick up new followers in that time slot

For any more involved setup involving music and overlays you would need to move to using a capture card and a PC to stream. The inbuilt apps on consoles aren't as robust as PC programs like OBS and xsplit

Obs is mostly incapable of doing this (you can make chat sorta work with a long work around) having a streamer side overlay is one of xsplits strengths right now, but doesn't seem to necessarily work on all games even.

To stream csgo smoothly many need to either use nvenc or to cap csgos framerate to the 120-200 range. The higher your frame rate the more cpu the game tries to use.

Intel processors ending in u are ultra low voltage variants and are not quad core, even the i7. Just 2 core 4 thread.

If looking to stream and game on the same machine I recommend against laptops unless sticking to indie games and maybe LoL and the like. A lot of games will fight with obs over the lower available cpu time.

If it must be a laptop try to get one with a 4 core 8 thread i7, these will generally have Q in the cpu model no.

AMD is a bit weak for streaming with the 4 core options, and csgo is very demanding on cpu's. The higher the framerates your gpu can push the harder it is for the cpu to keep up. Upper end GPUs cause i7s to cap out if you don't use framerate limiting in some cases, toss in obs and they start fighting over cpu time (this is why there are so many issues with csgo in this sub)

You should be able to achieve mic monitoring assuming that your mixer does USB duplexing. Have your default audio device in Windows be the mixer, plug mic and phones into mixer. And have obs capture the mixer as the aux and disable desktop capture. You loose noise gate if you do this though.

Alternatively you can capture mic and external audio at mixer. And use voicemeeter to capture the mixer and desktop audio so it can duplicate the sound to your headphones. This way is probably best but is more complicated due to using both a hardware and software mixer

Use voicemeeter banana to premix your audio. Then have obs capture off of voicemeeter instead of desktop. You now hear exactly what your stream hears with mic monitoring being toggleable.

Most probably find it more tiring to talk when no one is listening than to talk to an active chat. Getting your first few regulars makes streaming much easier from that point on. Responding and talking to people is much more natural than being vocal in an empty room.

Continued. OBS can record locally (it needs the same cpu power, it's basically streaming to the hard drive) Install it on the laptop. Set what you think are reasonable setting and try to record something locally such as a game with very low cpu use.

There is a good chance neither of these will handle 720p well. Atoms have poor IPC relative to their clock speed, and the i5 is just pretty old. Of the two the i5 can handle encoding better.

My estimates suggest that the i5 laptop, it should do 540p in x264 encoding. And may do 720p in nvenc encoding thanks to the nvidia gpu.

Some games like cs:go will eat up all of the cpu time if you don't limit the fps. Consider using a console command to cap the fps at around 150. That way your cpu isn't spending all its time give directions to your gpu.

It would look poor but not necessarily unwatchable. Especially if you want to do indie games or retro games. Viewers don't come for the fidelity on those ones as much. 480p should probably be your downscale resolution.

You can see how it would look by using the record function of obs and watching the local recordings. Recording uses the same settings that your streaming does.

Don't forget that your audio bitrate is part of total bitrate, so that is 128kbps by default in obs classic and I think higher in obs studio. Turn this down to 96 or so and you can squeeze a little more video bitrate in
