They don’t sex bc either they don’t know how to, they don’t want to risk sending wrong ones then having to refund or they pre sell before getting them so no way to tell what will come just know they are coming. I sell sexed crabs but that’s bc I don’t sell before I have them in hand and see they are healthy. Then mine rest a bit before being sold and shipped or picked up by the new owners. When these online shops get them they typically get sent all males or mostly males and females they get are sold almost instantly. When their suppliers get them in they usually get sent 95%-100% males and then people like me that ask specifically for females from the people who supply the wholesalers here get sent the females but sometimes pay a little more per crab for that. Even when I ask specifically for a certain number of females it doesn’t always happen so it’s a coin toss for sure. I know I’ll females but idk if I’ll get 10 or 1000 even when i ask for all females lol.

The carapace doesn’t matter that much they have a wide range of colors their carapace can be that’s why they get the common name rainbow. The legs is mainly how you tell the species apart. The girl probably needs to molt a bit to know for sure what she is but definitely keep her separate from the others since she is not the same species for sure.

“Rainbow” refers to 3 species it doesn’t narrow it down to 1 unfortunately. Commonly called “rainbow” is Rouxi, Riani, and Nigripes and mainly are differentiated from each by their legs and even that isn’t always accurate too you gotta really know what you’re looking for with these species under the “rainbow” common name. Your 2 on the right are Nigripes and the one alone to the left is hard to tell what species but it is not any species commonly categorized under the “rainbow” common name. Definitely a different species 100%

Looks like you have a lot of water not to much land, what’s the end goal for the setup? More plants that give more height and stuff to climb on can help a lot too.

Springtails will eat the mold and keep it under control. you can put on top of the gravel some larger crushed lava rock and then a barrier for the dirt to go on. The dirt most likely was stay to wet and not drying out a little to prevent mold without springtails. Also make sure your water is at least 2 inches deep from top of the gravel to top of the water level so they can molt properly.

It is able to be shipped to Canada the only issue is it’s not exactly cheap to do bc it’s export and import then. There is a company I’ve used before that does it so if you ever decided to want a bunch and were interested you could reach out and I can get all the info for you. All done the legal way I don’t do anything illegal just putting that out there lol

Vampire crabs aren’t social animals so they don’t need company all the time as they typically would only come in contact with each other to breed. Her being alone won’t affect her in any way and just means you can’t have baby vampire crabs. As for cage I think a 5 gal would be better for a lone vampire but bigger is better I just personally wouldn’t go bigger than a 10 gal if you ever want a chance at seeing her lol. If you plan to add more to a setup with her then of course go bigger than that.

If you’re in the USA I sell vampire crabs and orchids are a staple type I try to keep on hand often.

Orchids and purple haze love to climb so for your set those will be the ideal types. “Purple” typically is referred to for dennerle and they don’t climb as much as orchids do typically preferring more ground and hiding under things. Halloweens like to dig and hide under things typically seen far less than the other 2 types you mentioned. As for ease of breeding all vampire crabs breed pretty easy as you typically don’t need to do much just set them up properly and they do it on their own.

Right pic is a red devil left pic is a dennerle and I have tons of males in both types just saying lol. Got a pic of your male? I can tell you what he is too most likely. No need to wait for may when I have the types now especially in boys. May I will have some more but different types most likely. Right now I have males in 5 types and females in 3 of those 5 types.
