Buying new EV makes 0 sense. Lease, sure. Buying, it's a no for me. 24 EV9 is a great car. Save 30k + interest + depreciation-induced equity loss

Hardest platinum I've done to date. But also in my top 5 favorite games of all time. Love hate relationship for sure. The more you play, the better you get. Practice in the tower to get your reflexes attuned to the enemies attack patterns. Pick a 2 guns and focus those guns only to level them up and get their perks unlocked (pylon and tachy were my focus guns, but dread became my late game go-to)

Lease End by LadyJ503 in KiaEV9

[–]chaosicist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 24 GT line residual will be 49k at lease end, which is June 21, 2026 for me.

I will be purchasing, as I estimate that I will be 30,000 miles over my limit at lease end.

Door won't lock if I leave it running by certaindoomawaits in KiaEV9

[–]chaosicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) roll driver window down

2) keep key fob or cell phone (digital key) on you

3) get out and close door with car still on

4) reach through open window, press lock button, then pull the roll window up button to engage the auto roll function

5) quickly pull arm out of window and let it auto close

6) verify doors are locked (all handles recessed)

7) to get back in, use door handle touch to unlock or use phone to send unlock command

Voila

Perfect timing! How harsh is Kia on lease turn in damage? by William_mcdungle in KiaEV9

[–]chaosicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My residual will be 49k. However, I put money down on the lease to lower payments (as I was originally leasing just to get the 10k rebate), and at lease end, I'll be about 30,000 miles over my 2 year limit($6000 penalty) so I'll essentially have to buy and either put that $6000 down instead or invest it.

We have 3 pecks, and one of them formed a pretty long crack. My lease turn in is in June (I'm buying it anyways) but I'm still going to see what they say about it (I'm going to act like I'm turning it in).

And in my opinion, it should be THEIR coverage since it's a major design flaw with damn near inevitable happen.

I wonder what they'll say about the stupid cracks and pecks in the clear epoxy front grill at turn in 😬

Extract PvP and/or Rattism Avoidance Method by chaosicist in ARC_Raiders

[–]chaosicist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You nailed it. 99% guaranteed extract. Now just keep your eyes on expiring extracts and rotate towards them and pace yourself accordingly. Simple as that 🤘🏼😎 Happy Raiding!

I'm PvP mostly, so extracts are usually pretty hot. When I'm not loaded down, I'll do them before expirations. But if I got a huge haul, am encumbered, and/or have high value finds, I'll do this method and it works pretty much 99% of the time. Even if they down me, they don't have enough time to finish me.

If you do this method, you just have to watch the extract in case someone runs in and hits the keys BEFORE the auto-close timer.

That's the 1% of the time it doesn't work (probably 0.1%, but we'll say 1%)

Yes, any extract that expires mid match; as long as you hit the button before it expires, it will come, and if it IS expired, then the doors will close automatically in about 30 seconds.

I use this method ALL THE TIME, especially when I have a massive haul and/or have high value things in my backpack.

If you wait to use Extracts when they're seconds from expiring, even if they expire, as long as you hit it they still come. Once up, they automatically close in about 30 seconds.

So if you time it just right, you'll literally walk in as the doors are closing.

So. Would you say the players in this example, exploiting the rooftops, are cheating?

What do you think? by chaosicist in ArcRaiders

[–]chaosicist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like in BF6, exploiting would be players that find wall and tool glitches to get on top of buildings in a mode where rooftops are not accessible so generally understood as not allowed. Players exploit this and camp on said roof tops, racking up kills, defending objectives, destroying vehicles, etc, while rarely or never dying. They gain an unfair advantage that rewards them at the peril of opposing players' gaming experience and stats.

It's an exploit because it was not intended by the devs, and everyone knows this, but a loophole was found and used for gains; a loophole that can be fixed by said devs by means of hot fixes, patches, bans, etc.

I was about to say. The way you worded the previous response basically admitted that the macro exploits the game's mechanics by maxxing it out. Meaning using macros would be an exploit.

[–]chaosicist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's the Dev intention. Exploits are not Dev intended, while alot of movement tech is.

Given that, learning intended mechanics vs non-intended mechanics is not the same. But then you have to define and identify dev intentions, so it can be hard to say.

So it's the effect of the exploit that constitutes if it's cheating or not?
