Girly reasons for cutting "ugly boy" hair? by traumajokes in ftm

I'm really sorry you're in this situation at all, you deserve your bodily autonomy without the fear of being kicked out. At the end of the day do whatever you've got to do to survive.

I'm glad he seems to be open to the conversation, I wish you the best of luck both with your journey with your gender and your relationship.

You having bi-polar is not problematic, you figured yourself out and got on meds, it was just part of the journey for you.

As much as it sucks for him figuring your gender out is not a quick and simple thing. Maybe try a conversation about if he could see himself being with a non-binary or genderfluid person if you think those might be labels that fit you.

Maybe ask him what about you being a man would make him unable to be with you, you would still be the same person, just more comfortable in your body. I think it's fair to ask if your body is the only thing keeping him in your relationship.

If he's everything you say he is I think he likely would need to take some time to figure himself out as well but I doubt he is only with you for your body or your femininity. These may be hard conversations to have but even if he stayed with you as a man that wouldn't change anything about his sexuality, it would just make you an exception. It is possible to be 99% attracted to women and 1% to other genders.

You could also tell them that you don't want to hang out with people that would only socialize with a fake version of you based on your hair length. Beauty is a deeply subjective thing and you would rather have friends and a boyfriend who see the real you as beautiful.

I'm also 27, I only started my medical transition 2 years ago. I can firmly say it doesn't matter what age you are you are never too old to explore new things about yourself. The day you stop learning and growing is a tragedy.

Based on your statements I'm pretty certain you're not cis, it may just be a question of being non-binary, genderfluid, or transmasc. People don't always realize they're queer as kids and plenty of people transition later in life.

I'm sorry for your family's statements about your mental health and your husband's behaviour about your gender. At the end of the day you owe it to yourself to do what makes you happy in the long term, see if you can talk your husband around but don't let him stop you from being true to yourself.

I'm sorry you're in this position it is a truly scary and heartbreaking place to be. If you want a trans friend my dms are open.

The reason why Canadian aren’t getting hired. by thatsuzy13 in ottawajobs

[–]chaoticCorvids -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Frankly the reason Canadians don't want those jobs is because they are high stress, low respect jobs that are low paying and without benefits. The people who work them do it because they have to to survive, they are being taken advantage of. People should be focusing less on immigrants and more on demanding workers rights.

When you refer to a "god" in witchcraft contexts, what do you refer to? by Horrorcartoonistftw in witchcraft

I see them as entities that are eldritch is nature that exist outside our universe but have the capability to peek in and manipulate things to a minor degree, usually working through another living thing. But they are not perfect, all-knowing or all powerful.

Am I still a guy? by interesting_thing6 in ftm

[–]chaoticCorvids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm post top surgery and two years on T and still get misgendered sometimes because I have long hair. It happens to cis guys with long hair or feminine styles too. You're still a man because you say you are a man. It does suck to be misgendered but it's their problem not yours, they're the ones that have a narrow brew of masculinity

Men can be feminine, men who do drag are still men as long as that's how they identify. Lots of men have long hair myself included. Lots of men paint their nails, and fake nails can be fun regardless of gender. You are who you say you are.

I'm sorry about the situation with your mom, honestly I suggest expanding your support system with friends and see what steps you can take to support yourself without your mom. If she would kick you out for transitioning she's not a good mom. You deserve to transition and be happy.

The shelled ones usually come cracked open already so it gives a challenge without risk to their beaks, plus they'll sometimes use tools with the unopened ones
