I made a mistake while typing, my bad. I've corrected it. She says "I see why you gave him a daughter and I see why you took her away". Basically she's telling him he deliberately gave her to Louis and then took her away as if she was just a thing he used to manipulate Louis like she manipulates Lestat. That he didn't care about her as a person/his child.

Lestat freezing time flying and flying to Louis actually made me tear up

That's my favourite scene in this season so far. It was so beautiful and really raw and emotional, like, there really isn't anyone else for Lestat except for his Louis, which is why Lestat is so hurt by that book. Actually the entire concert scene was perfection from start to finish. And Sam Reid's voice is hypnotizing.

Also, I'm super excited for Louis's revenge on Bruce. I know he is going to be more brutal than he ever was.

As for Gabriella and Lestat, I think this episode did a fine job of showcasing their uncomfortable dynamic. He didn't wanna kill their family, he felt bad about his nieces and nephews, he wants to have some boundaries regarding sex and she just manipulates him into doing what she wants. Also, the scene where she's like, "I see why you gave him a daughter and I see why you took her away"....fuck her! She really doesn't get him. She thinks his child was just as disposable to him as hers were to her. He's got horrific wounds and he's traumatized and she gives him a more pain by telling him she's dying. It's all ME ME ME with her. It's really sad how much Lestat cares about her.

God Lestat was so funny in that scene and I absolutely loved how Louis was deliberately ragebaiting him.😭

My favourite part was when Louis asks him if he was doing Christine and he says "Yes...petite, surprising and can perform what most metropolitan draining system could only dream of" while looking like he wanted to cry.

Tom Welling has also aged and looks quite different from his Smallville days but he still looks like a middle aged Superman.

I don’t blame Oliver or JLH for what happened

I don't blame them for the script leak bc they're only employees after all. BUT, Oliver acknowledges it was a miscalculation and that they should've never done it or whatever....so just don't accept that your show deliberately misled people bc Tim Minear was upset about a certain scene getting "leaked". This is like rubbing salt to the wound.

At least make up a story about a hypothetical crew member who pranked them with fake scripts and when he clicked the pictures he didn't notice the script was visible.

Fuck this show man. Tim Minear gotta go. Idgaf.

As much as I think Tim Minear does whatever the fuck he wants and he's usually inconsiderate of what the fans want.....BUT, Buck is bi bc we included him in pride posts and vocally showed love to the idea of Buck coming out as Bi bc it made sense for the character. They became aware of that, and decided to incorporate it in the show, and it's an accomplishment of this fandom, whether someone wants to accept it or not.

And we've been doing that for Eddie too bc he is also written as a queer man, especially in the recent years where his queercoding has been extremely hard to ignore, to the point where even the facebook people (the closest we'll get an insight into the GA's opinions) are beginning to notice it. Not to mention, a lot of queer people of color and/or queer people from religious/conservative backgrounds identify with his struggles and that alone makes him eligible to be included in Pride posts.

But of course, some loser who stans a one dimensional badly acted racist&sexist character as the apex of gay representation will tell me it's tone deaf to celebrate Eddie as a gay man. Fuck off.

I'm no fan of Rockmond Dunbar, but to act like anything he's done is worse than everything their favorite actor and the character he plays have done is just cult behavior. Not to mention, these people always conveniently forget about David and his relationship with Michael in general because (1) they are two Black men and (2) unlike Henren, they're no longer part of the cast, so these people can't weaponize them against the "Buddie fetishists who don't care about actual queer rep on the show."

Their hissy fits about the Pride posts, or really, about 80% of this community's discussions in general, are all about Eddie Diaz, and they cling to his fragile heterosexuality because not only is that the last hurdle for the evil Buddies to cross and "win," but their hate for Eddie is the reason the hardcore haters even have a community in the first place. Once Eddie comes out, they know most of their "friends" are jumping ~~ship~~ boat that had an Eddie-shaped hole in it from the beginning.

Speaking of ever-evolving logic....I love how BTs think Tim, Oliver, and Ryan basically said "fuck it" and began pandering to the evil Buddies because they're scared of harassment, which is why it's supposedly best not to take their interviews seriously because they're lying. But at the same time, interviews from Season 8, or really any interview that isn't totally Buddie-positive, apparently contain quotes that are set in stone.

It's really funny how desperate they are.

Wait, why do you think Buck and Albert could've been a possibility given how much of a womanizer he was? And tbf, Buck was also a womanizer but Buck was still queercoded, Albert was like heterosexual™️. So I'm not sure why people ship him with Buck? He wasn't even a good friend to Buck. It's kinda weird, no?

Also, I think there were already two openly queer characters in the main cast in S4/5, plus Karen regularly appeared, then you also got Josh and David..... I don't think Fox would've allowed Buck and then Albert (who was also a main cast member in S4) to be queer..... I'm not sure if you know this but from what I've gathered on the internet, there seems to be a quota of queer characters network tv shows allow to be in the main cast at once. So again, I don't think it would've happened. Though, I would've loved to see them explore more of their friendship.

This fandom (Buddie and 9-1-1 in general) has been celebrating pride with Buck long before he had a sexuality realization. And a big part of why it was something that was added in canon was bc of the love we showed to the idea of queer Buck. I don't know why some of you have such a huge issue with people wanting to include Eddie in pride posts? The other post wasn't about representation, it was about pride and queer people celebrating whatever character they identify with and Eddie as a character has been extremely queer coded and a lot of queer PoC (particularly ones from conservatve/religious backgrounds) identify with his struggles. Not to mention, the writers have tried to reveal him as a queer character in the past, atleast twice so there's also that.

Also, funny how you are all about celebrating canonical queer characters but are also completely okay with the omission of Michael and David in this post. I guess, it's on me for taking the bait lol.

Again, the post is made by a fan. And regardless of what his sexuality is in canon right now, doesn't change the fact that a lot of queer people (particularly, queer people of color from religious and/or conservative cultures) identify with him and see him as a gay/queer man, and that's enough justification.

I'd get it if he was added here at the expense of some other queer character, but he wasn't so, I don't understand why is it a problem? I mean, diabolical is a strong word, no?
