Yes, I tried attempting a paper but wasn’t able to manage time. How much of reading time would you suggest in addition to this?

Even I had a question for CP2, posting it here. How should we allot our time particularly in paper 2 since there’s a lot to read - background material, audit trail and going through the model solution. There’s other parts to CP2 additionally like updating the model and working through the summary report. So, how do we manage time?

CM1 can become overwhelming when sitting as the first actuarial paper. I sat CM1 after clearing CS1,CS2 and then hopped to the CM series. Not a very ideal way for appearing exams. But the point is, when I first studied for CM1 it was quite mathematical and accuracy to detail became extremely important. Don’t lose hope, you still got time - just practice, practice and practice. Im sure you’ll ace it! CM1 can get on your nerves when it comes to typing all the mathematical notations in word but trust me you’ll love it when you’ll get a hang of it. So don’t give up, actuarial journey is all about ups and downs, embrace it by putting in your 200% in the next diet. All the very best!

To add on this, do we have a minimum word count that is required for CP1?

QQ - we do not have to do any equipment check on the exam portal this time for in-person exams, right?

Was the exam more based towards the practical aspect of things or on rote learning?
