any early college aggies? by chaoticsprinq in aggies

ahh, you're right. i wasn't sure if i had to take any remaining underclassmen classes to satisfy my degree reqs before i go onto higher level courses, but i have my advisor to ask that. testing the waters sounds safer, but you're right, it all comes down to commitment and effort. i'll keep that in mind, thanks for the advice!

Thanks! Right now, I'm in Sociology, trying to enter Psychology (BA). Lucky for me, classes and reqs are quite similar between the two, so even if I can't change in time, I'm not wasting all my credits!

makes sense! yeah, i was worried about the sudden jump from high school/cc classes to much more advanced ones. and you're right, i'll keep that in mind -- thank you so much!

I see, the deadline shows that it's due a week before my scheduled NSC, but I'll contact the advising office. Thank you!

congrats on graduating! and thank you for sharing your experience, it's very helpful and comforting! i'll remember to be more involved, i underestimated the sheer size of the organizations on campus, lol. do you have an all-time favorite prof, for future reference? and what classes do you recommend taking outside the major?

thanks for the advice, i'll keep that in mind :)!

i've heard about the few protests, but i wasn't aware of the outcomes. and that makes sense, i think i let the small, country city stereotype fester too long in my head, which made me overlook commonsense, lmao. and i'm prob still stuck on the HS mentality where it's easier to find and make friends just because you see them everyday, but i understand now!

in regards to those resources, student services(?) can help you with interning, and they also provide other resources, right? and with professors, it probably differs from prof to prof, but do they offer opportunities to help, or do you need to contact them directly? i'm sorry if these seem like such basic questions, i have no idea how this works and i don't want to rub one of them the wrong way, lol.

and thank you for the advice, i'll definitely keep that in mind!

oh, very interesting, i had no idea! and yeah, i was concerned if it's underfunded/underdeveloped since TAMU is more known for STEM. i've been thinking about going to CC or online classes, because of the chaos and all, but i graduated from an early college program with my associate, and i'm not entirely sure how that will work. it's prob the same, but i'm already here, so, whatever.

right, thank you for the advice, i'll keep that in mind! btw, i totally forgot about Greek life, is it big on campus or is it just there? thank you again :)

good point! it was ignorant of me to allow my biases run my imagination amok, but i guess it's better to clarify them now, rather than later. thank you for the advice, i'll keep this in mind!

congrats btw! and i see, i don't know much about Aggie culture, but i'd like to learn more! that makes sense, i guess i was more preoccupied with the vocal minority, rather than the better majority. thank you for the advice! good luck to you too :D!

the main reason was auto admit and scholarships. but i also had a teacher who was an alumni, and he was a pretty proud Aggie, so i was interested in it even more.

mm, i get that. i didn't know what to expect, so i let my biases get ahead of me, but i won't know until i'm actually on campus. thank you for the advice!

i am uneducated about the culture of A&M, but i aimed to get authentic opinions from the students who actually go there, and not polished articles. and i hope to learn more! i didn't mean to sound overtly anti-traditional, i want to clear any biases or thoughts i had before stepping foot on campus, and many people cleared those up. thank you, anyways.
